“Beautifully appointed and maintained cabin fronting the Sacandaga River. Cabin had every imaginable amenity to enhance the woodland experience. Hosts were notably gracious and responsive--though everything was already thoughtfully and conveniently set up, so minimal communication was required. First rate experience in every respect! ”

“Overall was good and we enjoyed our family visit. We were disappointed with lake levels at this time of year so lake could not be accessed from the property. Recommend checking USGS lake data before traveling with any watercraft. House was nice. Knotty pine paneling and ceiling were a great look Kitchen area was fairly well equipped. Comfortable family room as shown in photos on the site. Two bedrooms were great size. Two were quite small, but we made do. Parking was good. Covered……

“This home was perfect for a work trip that turned into a family trip! Our 5 year old daughter had a blast outside running and playing. This home is so close to everything (GE only minutes away) yet you feel a 100 miles away. We will for sure book again! ”

“I was placed in cabin C. Great experience but the snow wasn’t removed from walk way to enter the cabin and the pans they provided us weren’t the best. food would stick to it even with butter or spray on oil. Besides that it was great would for sure come back again!!”

“Was very please with the property it was in a small town right on the outside of town. Best part was having the Amish horse and buggies riding down the road each day. The hist was honestly amazing and accommodating. My best friend and her family live out side of fort plain NY, when I go up to visit this will be my go to house to rent. ”

“My husband and I booked this property for our wedding weekend and wedding reception. There was an event fee, which was very reasonable.The host was very accommodating when we needed to set up and take down the tent due to rain. If we had any questions, the host was quick to respond. The houses had everything we needed and were very well-maintained and clean. The views on the property are amazing!! Everyone at the reception raved over how beautiful the setting was. We can’t wait to see the……

“We loved the style of the house and really enjoyed how close it was to the lake and that we could drive the golf cart there. The only thing that we didn't love was the smell of the water and that we felt very close to the neighbors. Overall great experience.”

“My mother-in-law has a bucket list of staying insome unique places so we booked this for her birthday. The caboose is very cool! The caboose is very clean. The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies if needed and a nice size refrigerator. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. We would highly recommend staying here, especially if you know someone that loves trains or likes staying in one of a kind places.”
