“We enjoyed our week at the cottage. It was so nice to have our own private space. It was quiet and comfy with all the amenities you could possibly need. The view of the water from the patio was awesome and it was an easy little trail to get to the beach for a walk on the sand. We got to see a turtle resting our first day! The cottage was clean and well stocked with linens, towels, beach necessities and all our kitchen needs. We had easy access to all of Kihei and Wailea, a lot of things……

“The property was perfect for our family with an 8 and 10 year old. The kids slept on the lanai and were very comfortable. It really felt like you were out in nature. John was welcoming and the fresh bananas were great. We split our trip up with one week here and one week on the south shore and we’re very happy we did. ”

“This was our 7th time staying at Ho’okipa Bay cottage. We asked, can it be any better than the previous 6? Yes! It can! Hank has provided everything we needed…beautiful home, comfy bed, incredible views. We love going to the touristy areas during the day. Then returning home to the lanai, soaking tub, outdoor shower. What a way to re-energize after a long day. We will treasure our memories of Hank’s place and look forward to returning. Our happy pace! Joy and Tom”

“My wife and I stayed in the Gingerbread House for a week in June. Eve welcomed us and helped us get oriented with the area, even suggesting places to visit and restaurants to check out. She was very quick to respond to questions. The location of the Gingerbread House itself is generally located in the middle of Maui away from the resorts, where we were able to enjoy a more authentic Hawaiian experience. The grounds are beautiful, and the house had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Very……

“I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. The ocean in front of you. The beautiful beaches and so close to downtown Paia. Everything about this was excellent. The owner of the property was so helpful and nice. She and her husband are locals and are right on the property so that was also very helpful. A beautiful little getaway that was perfect.”
