“We had all of 9 nights stay and could hav stayed longer. What a base for the area we had a rental car and travelled to near by towns . The host Debbie was wonderful and so helpful. The apartment was more than we expected so we will be back one day 10/10”

“Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it). ”

“The photos do not do the house justice! The living area opening on to the deck with the views is fabulous. All of the bedrooms have the same view over the water and the master suite is separate upstairs with windows on three sides. Very well equipped house with a thoughtful welcome basket. Light and spacious. An easy 20minute walk into town, which is lovely along the water's edge around low tide. ”

“Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Location was ideal for us and we could not fault it. Beds were comfy and so were the couches. Next time i will remember to take a bluetooth speaker but otherwise the lack of tv was a bonus. Went to the opononi hotel to watch the league and take the kids out for dinner. Locals are really friendly.As for the driveway, i left that for hubby to navigate. Didn't look as bad as i had envisioned but i probably would park down the bottom if I was on my own. Overall loved……

“The bach is in a great spot across road and through some bush to a great beach, but limited harbour views due to trees across the road. The bach is comfy and kitchen well appointed. Nice to have a table big enough for pur group. There is a handheld shower over a bath inside with main showers in a lean-to outside. This was fine for our group and shower pressure was great but I imagine some might not like this setup. We arrived just after a big storm but the outdoor areas and showers were long……

“The location, just a block from the harbor, was excellent. The room was spacious, and the kitchenette well stocked. The decor was not fancy, but we were comfortable and felt at home, which helped make our stay excellent.”

“Outstanding - I could not rate higher. Fantastic location with waterfront view, spacious and with full kitchen WITH THE TYPES OF UTENSILS YOU WOULD HAVE IN YOUR OWN KITCHEN - not just the "tick box" commonly found. Unit was clean, and instructions on check-in and processes clear and straightforward. This is not the first time I've gone to Paihia - and the accommodation here was head-and-shoulders better then anything I've had before.”
