“As described: secluded, a much- needed respite; chocolates helped! Coqui’s night calls make me sleep though some might need ear plugs. I spent most evenings under the lanai’s bugless tent (green geckos were allowed:-) and beautiful silver pheqsant(!), Bed, couch, HAMMOCK, shower are big plusses. FYI: a short drive from Hilo past 8am is clear; 3:30 onward competes with schoolbus traffic. “We arrived in Hawaii only to find our booking had gone out of business and forgot to remove their VRBO ad. But we found Paradise Palms available at the last minute. “Even with Vrbo technical difficulties, the hosts were super easy to work with and resolve the issues.
