It's fine for what it is; a super convenient location for Royals/Chiefs game. But there's nothing around it. There's a giant weird hole in the middle of the parking lot that looks like maybe it used to be a pool but is now just a vacant lot. A woman wandered the halls at 5:00 a.m. screaming obscenities at someone on the phone for about half-an-hour without anyone doing anything about it. The wifi never did work very well for me; I mentioned it and they did reset the router but it didn't seem to help. No coffee lids for the to-go coffee cups that are provided. Again, I wasn't expecting much and that's pretty much what I got. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot, I will say that!

I would NOT recommend staying here. The only positive was that it was close to Kauffman Stadium. Everything else about my stay was unpleasant. I paid $50 for an early check in fee, and the room temperature never was below 76. They told me to use a fan in addition to the "AC". I reported the problem the next morning, and they said maintenance would look at it. I returned 7 hours later, and maintenance did NOT look at it. They switched me to a 2nd room, where the temperature did not go below 75. The TV remote did not work and the room had an odd smell. Across both rooms, the WiFi didn't work (they gave me the code for their front desk one, but that also wouldn't work on the 5th floor). When I checked out, I asked if they did luggage storage for a few hours since I was attending the baseball game, and they said they did not store luggage. After complaining and repeatedly asking, they finally agreed to hold it for a few hours. This experience was very unpleasant, and I would not return. Awful hotel and young staff is entirely unhelpful (except for one person who appeared to be the GM).

Stayed specifically to attend KC Royals baseball game. Easy walk to the stadium. Free parking at the hotel. Convenient location for driving from Missouri or Kansas.

As for the Staff, they were very helpful in getting us into our room even before the 4:00pm check-in time, and the young Hispanic lady at the desk, even went and purchased some flowers, and placed them with much care in our room. The young Indian man behind the counter helped me with my door dash app. I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the biscuits and gravy, and the gym & pool was suffice for getting in a workout and swim. As for the hotel, the parking lot as you arrive needs to be repaired. It is not very attractive as you arrive. The gym worked out for me, but after noon, the fan doesn't keep it very cool, especially while using the treadmill. Overall, the hotel needs some upgrades, if they want to stay at 3 stars or more.

Convenient for a game, but priced WAY above market for the condition of the property and quality of the hotel. Very basic. No upgrades. Reportedly an Unsafe area. Our driver suggested we stay inside. We didn’t see anything suspicious, however. The abandoned building across the street is an eye sore.

What a disaster. Check in is supposed to be at 4. We show up at 4 and there is a line around the corner to the front desk to check in. Many people had actually checked in way earlier, but their rooms weren’t clean yet, so they had to just sit there. Some people didn’t get into their room until after 5pm. Beyond infuriating for $270 a night.
