We loved our stay at the Truitt. We were passing through on a cross country drive, so we wished we had even more time to enjoy the hotel and surrounding area. Incredibly comfortable bed and lovely decor. Already wanting to go back!

Beautiful place, we would like to come back sometime. Very simple check in, very well decorated, very cool accommodations. The room and the entire facility were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. My wife’s only complaint was the nearness of the toilet to the sleeping area, with semi private doors—(not because of me). We stayed in 1 B. Ryan and David have done a wonderful job.

The Truitt is a fabulous Boutique Hotel. Beautifully decorated with exquisite furnishings and a wonderful and comfortable room/bed/bathroom. I read a review that was not so complimentary by, it seems, a European traveller. Well, I am European and the owners, Ryan and David exceeded expectations when I needed help. I am not sure why that person was annoyed, but normally it's because they seem deeply miserable with their own lives and find ways of taking it out on others by writing disingenuous reviews that do not reflect the beauty of these two Historic Buildings. One can tell immediately how these two gentlemen have gone far beyond expectations both in taste and decor. If this was a restaurant, it would definitely have 2 or even 3 Michelin Stars. l will always return to The Truitt whenever I pass by Kansas City again. Thank you.

Both the Truitt and the Aida are lovely renovated mansions in a beautiful location near the wonderful, free Art Institute and Museum of Contemporary Art. Ryan & David have provided unique, well appointed accommodations, offering travelers a great respite on their journeys. Thank you!
