East Village Inn 1 can be found settled in Lu Jia Shan Wai Village. It’s modern retreat by the port city of Kaohsiung, just a short drive from Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum and the famous Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum. Surrounded by the beauty of Meinong Lake and gorgeous trails like Fenqihu Cedar Boardwalk. Nearby, The Pier 2 Art Center in the city provides a creative contrast to the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Ideal for solo travelers or small groups.
A comfortable 139-square-foot accommodation set in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, focusing on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water by using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

East Village Inn 1 is located in southern Taiwan, in the large port city of Kaohsiung. Nearby are the districts of Meinong, Qishan, Shanlin, and Jiaxian, which offer great opportunities for exploration. Visit the Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum, which preserves a wealth of Hakka culture, showcasing their adaptation to new environments through clothing, food, architecture, and music.
After your cultural tour, try your hand at making Meinong paper umbrellas and sample Hakka rice noodles. Each district has its own local specialties, such as Qishan bananas, Shanlin gourds, and Jiaxian taro pastries and ice cream.

- The Jiaxian District is famous for its taro crisps and taro ice, for your snacks and refreshing bites on the go. - You may find Meinong, Qishan, and Shanlin local specialties nearby too, such as Meinong flat rice noodles, paper umbrellas, Qishan bananas, Shanlin gourds, etc. - Qishan Zhongshan Park, Meinong Lake, and Fenqihu Cedar Boardwalk Trail are nearby sightseeing hotspots for leisure walks around scenic surroundings. Other attractions: - The Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum is Kaohsiung’s tribute to the rich, ethnic Hakka culture, displaying the different facets of the Hakka people. - Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum has the tallest sitting bronze Buddha statue in Asia, a popular religious landmark that covers an area of more than 100 hectares in Kaohsiung. - The Pier 2 Art Center near Cijin Island was an abandoned warehouse area turned into an open art space, filled with local artworks, artistic stores, bookshops, and cinema.
- Driving from Kaohsiung City to the park is 52 kilometers and takes about 1 hour. - Guests can use either a two-wheel drive vehicle (2WD) or a four-wheel drive vehicle (4WD) to reach the destination.
By public transport:
- From Zuoying HSR Station, take the Kaohsiung Bus Qishan-Meinong Express Line to Meinong Terminal (1 hour). Then, take the Kaohsiung Bus Liugui Line and get off outside the park (1.5 hours). - Kaohsiung Bus services also connect Meinong, Qishan, and other urban areas. - Motorcycle rentals are available in Qishan District.
By flight:
- Fly into Kaohsiung International Airport. From there, it is about a 1-hour drive to the park by car or taxi. - Public transport options from the airport include taking a bus or metro to Zuoying HSR Station, followed by the routes mentioned above.
- Mobile reception is good - WI-FI is not available - Charcoal BBQ Grill is available -Breakfast is available for an extra cost. - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - As free fishing is provided, please bring your own fishing rod if possible(can borrow for free) - Smoking is allowed in designated areas around the property - Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings - Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests - Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Pets should be kept on leash at all times - Any damage done by pets shall be payable by the guests - Please clean up after your dog/cat shedding before checking out - Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings - Always remember not to leave your pets unattended inside or outside the property - We recommend that you bring your pet's bed, bowl, and basic needs with you during your stay - Please take note to inform us 24 hrs before arrival, if you plan to bring your pets to our property
