“Very nice and clean old-style Hawaiian home in rural area. It is very private and quiet although it is likely you will hear the resident fowl and frogs. It is very close to a number of historic sites, beaches, and hikes--and interesting country roads. A few stores in Hawi and Kapuu have coffee and other snacks (and local art) and there is a nearby grocery. If you are looking for "off the beaten path" this place should be on your list. ”

“Very nice property. Gated community with excellent staff. The pool area was very nice but there were no shaded areas unless you were using the dining services. Nice walking areas. Large 2- bedroom unit was a nice break from the small units we had at the large hotel chain facilities at the previous 3 islands that we stayed at. ”

“Very beautiful resort. The house we booked is really big and close to the private beach and The Shops (Shopping Plaza). However, the private beach is not very large and because of there are not many restaurants at The Shops, we need to wait for a long time for dinner on Sunday. Overall, this resort is great and the staff also very polite and helpful.”

“We enjoyed our stay in the Hali’i Kai condo. This was my second time staying within this community and I love the quiet and roominess of it. It is perfect for two couples or a family and a better deal than getting two rooms at a nearby busy hotel. The pool is great and the food at the pool bar and grill was very good. A special thank you to the owner for the extras that were available including the tennis rackets, beach chairs and towels but especially the bug spray because I had forgotten mine……
