“We were there is Aussie winter and none of the houses have central heating so it is absolutely no criticism of the house. You just need to be aware. They provide electric blankets (thank you!!) and a space heater but it is hard to heat the whole house. View and sunset simply gorgeous Thank you!!”

“Stayed here with my partner for 2 nights. Check in was e-mail communication and that was it (which we prefer). Other reviews say the owner is easy to contact but we never needed to. We weren't familiar with the way the central heating worked at first but once we figured out we had to turn each individual heater on via a dial at the base it was no problem. Heated blankets were nice, enjoyed the use of the fireplace. No complaints! Would gladly stay again.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender House - it's very convenient, only a 10-15 minute walk into Katoomba but also on the quieter side and away from the Easter crowds. The cottage is lovely and quiet - we'd love to go back in Winter and use the fire!”

“The property surpassed my expectations! The house was the perfect size for four high school friends to reconnect on our yearly catch ups. Bedrooms were spacious, sheets and pillows were super soft, electric blanket was a bonus. Having two bathrooms for 5 bedrooms was handy. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you’ll ever need, shame we didn’t cook ! Location of house was half way between The Three Sisters and Katoomba shops, easy walking distance to both.
