“The Alana is a new Hotel, very clean and functional. Small pool (only for kids) can't swim. The breakfast doesn't suit for western guests (only scramble eggs, no sausages, no salamis). As a western guest I m not familiar with "traditional" indonesian foods and those 4-5 types of food. Fruit and sweets choice is very poor, even I can say "it's nothing", need to be highly improved!!! I wasn't delighted much with reception and breakfast personal. There acting more like robots and not as persons, I……

“Definitely the best value for your money. The room is quite spacious, ie, not squeeshy, like many hotels these days. Very clean, very well designed interior, it's catered more for the millenials (but I love it and I'm a Gen-X!), the room and the entire hotel is light and airy. Very friendly and helpful staff. If all fave hotels in Indonesia are like this one, I'd definitely stay in a fave hotel again whenever I'm in Indonesia. Highly recommended, 5 star for everything.”

“Rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a great view over the city of Malang. Staff was very friendly too and even though they had quite a few trainees on the roster when I stayed, they tried their best and always had a smile on their face, even though they were still learning and occasionally had to clarify a number of things with the senior staff. I had to set off very early in the morning but they were kind enough to prepare a packed breakfast (with delicious nasi goreng) for me. ”

“Une catastrophe !!! Nous devions passer 3 nuits, nous avons été obligé d’écourter notre séjour afin de n’y passer qu’une seule nuit tellement l’état était ignoble. Le logement est tout à fait insalubre, nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude (a la limite cela peut passer) mais lorsqu’en arrivant nous avons découvert les cheveux coincés dans la douche, le rideau de douche troué, noire de crasse, ça en était trop ! Je vous passe les détails de l’état des rideaux au niveau de la fenêtre, des traces au……
