“My husband and I stayed at this lakeside retreat in early May. Our son in law's family have a cottage down the road. While we spent most of our day in the other cottage, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Lakeside retreat. It is very well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed working on a few puzzles and listening to music on the Google Home Sound system. We hope to come again one day with our granddaughters and swim in the Medway river and Ponhook lake.”

“This cabin met our needs for a private little spot for the night. It was fully furnished with anything/ everything you need. I was a bit let down that the cabin was part of a compound where there were other cabins that didn’t belong to the host and the area didn’t look like the photos online.. it was super quiet and a bit rustic but if you’re not looking for a five star motel, then it is a fun place to stay. ”

“The property is netled in the trees by a beautiful lake. You can enjoy your morning coffee steps from the water and watch the deer graze on the lawn in the evening. Cathy is very easy to communicate with. The home is cozy and well equipped. A lovely place to relax. ”

“Our family of 6 stayed here for a week. We used the house as both a place to relax and as a jumping off point to do other activities in Nova Scotia. We loved it here. We enjoyed numerous outings on Ponhook Lake in the canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboard provided by the owner. The house is beautiful, clean and very well kept up. The location is stunning, with the beautiful Ponhook lake in a wilderness setting with endless opportunities for exploration. A perfect place to stay if you want to……
