This is one of the best vacation spots in the area. It's an immaculate 4 bed/3 bath two Story on 3rd St. Sleeps 8-10 (King, King, Queen, 2 Twins and sleeper sofa) .All bedrooms have flat screen TVs. The living area is tremendously spacious.

It has a great dock with a fish cleaning station. You can fish right in the back of the property or hop on your boat and cruise to plenty of fishing hot spots.

Central A/C, washer/dryer, hi speed internet service, dishwasher. Private pool.

Interconnecting door to other half of duplex, so this unit and the other half of the house can be rented together - if desired. together you could have 8 bedrooms.Perfect for family reunions.

Great location and space for our family

This is a great space for large groups. We were able to comfortably house 5 adults and 4 teens. Plenty of space, pool was lovley & we were able to keep the boat docked and zip right out to go fishing. Dock fishing on windy days was great for the kids as well. Could the home use a little updating? Yes. However, we are pretty easy to please as long at it is clean and we can go fish. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent, except…

The property is beautiful. Location is beautiful. House was exceptional. George, the maintenance director responded quickly to any calls and took care of any glitches promptly. The outside of property needs to be updated: Cracks in cement, mold in places, not enough chairs for a property that supposed to accommodate 10.

Beautiful waterfront home

This was our favorite spot to be in Key Colony, we will be back. This was everything we wanted for our vacation. Great fishing and restaurants near. Perfect for our boat docking and awesome private pool. We absolutely loved it. Awesome host, the best!

Big house in a good location and great neighborhood.

We over all enjoyed our stay. The host and the property manager were very helpful. Although some bad weather didn't let us use the pool but once the storms cleared the manager got the pool cleaned up and we were able to soak in some nice warm water. The house definitely needs upgrades though.

Key Colony

We had a great time! Having the dock we did a lot of fishing, paddleboarding, and kayaking! Pool was clean and very refreshing! The house had a lot of room so we did not feel like we were on top of each other (11 people). The furniture is more updated then what the pictures show. Overall we would rent here again!!

Flawed Paradise

Let's start with the positives. The location is excellent and if you want to fish from the rear of the property it is superb. The pool is a bonus and was clean and appeared fairly well maintained. We stayed in this property 11 years ago and at that time considered it tired but acceptable. Sadly little or nothing has been done to the property since that time. Frankly it is beyond tired. General maintenance is poor with a number of items simply not working or working effectively. The dish washer for example runs a program but does not wash. The air conditioning to the main bedroom does not work and as a consequence a temporary free standing unit has been installed. This is so noisy it is impossible to sleep. I think when we arrived there were no more than 4 wine glasses so we had to go out and buy a set and some beakers. By far the worst aspect was the cleanliness, which was poor throughout. Yes the floors looked as though they had been swept but as soon as you walked barefoot, it was apparent that this was not enough. We searched for a mop but only found one that looked not to have been used for some time and had seen better days. Consequently we purchased a mop bucket and floor cleaner and spent half a day cleaning. Only then could we allow the infant with us to play on the floor. I know not to expect luxury from properties which are constantly rented but we do expect comfort, reasonable functionality and cleanliness.

Good amenities, however work is deeply needed.

The house was very clean upon arrival. The pool however was not clear. When we asked the pool maintenance man to clean it, he seemed to be very irritated with the request. But the pool was green. He did clean it and it cleared up. The dock on the adjoining property had fallen in. And that happens however the dock on our side is in serious need of a rebuild. When the tide was low you can see how bad the cracking is all of the way under it, large cracks not small. When the crew and owner arrived to work on the Fallen dock, they came to our side and said boards needed replacing, however they just flipped the boards over. When they did this they left very rusty screws all over the dock and yard. I picked them up. The dock is NOT nailed down well, children would need to be careful where they walked. The extra bathroom has a very distinct smell of sewage. The house is however is very spacious

Smith keys vacation

This is a beautiful house in a great location. We enjoyed the time we were there. I just wish it was longer. We had plenty of linens and appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. Having 2 refrigerators was a great idea. There were a few issues we had during the week though. There were sugar ants in the kitchen in the beginning of the week but we took care of them. The utensils needed to be washed before we could use them. The internet was week and did not reach to the upstairs tvs. The direct tv did not work well. There were many switches for lights and we figured them out by the end of the week. If you could add a print out of what switch works what lights it would be helpful. We were unable to turn the pool light on in the evenings. It would be beneficial to put a ladder on the dock to be able to enter and exit boats during low tide or if someone falls off the dock by accident. If a watch charger and Roku remote was found in the master bedroom, it would be very appreciated if it could be mailed to us. One other thing is if there could be more parking, the bushes in the front could enable another car or boat trailer to be able to park there. All in all we had a very enjoyable week and hope to be able to vacation in the keys another time. Thank you for listening.

Lots of space

Overall nice house. Owner is in the process of updating and some projects weren't complete. Very large kitchen and comfy family room couches. Plenty of room for the entire family. It was convenient to have a boat ramp on the property. Not all boats observed the "No Wake Zone" but we came prepared with a bungee anchor to keep the boat from hitting the dock. Quick access to the ocean, which was really nice.

Needs some TLC

This was our 3rd time staying here. It has been a few years since our last visit. Location is great however the the house needs some TLC. The decking around the pool has some uneven places that caused my Grandson to fall. The furniture around the pool needs to be replaces. The decking on the dock needs repair. If repairs are made and listed we would stay here again, but as is I will look elsewhere.

Great Location

Other reviews are accurate. This house is old and is in need of some major renovations/upgrades. Had a problem with ac. Response from Property Manager was great even though it seems as if the units are not capable of handling such a large house. We were comfortable. Pool and pool pavers are in poor shape. Garden tub leaked into garage. When I told the Maintenance man he said he already knew however we were not told. Glad none of our stuff was under the LARGE leak in garage. Overall good stay. My main problem would be the flies that hang around the garbage cans which are by the front door. I even washed the cans out to no avail. Would consider staying again.

Great location

Group property but needs some TLC

The location was amazing. The house was very large for our party of 7 but could definitely use some updating. First, the stove did not work correctly. The eyes were way off in temperature. The dishwasher doesn’t work. There was a great variety of kitchen utensils/appliances. The house was invaded by flys. The trash cans without lids are right at the front door and flies fly in every time you open the door. There are only 3 bikes not 4 and we couldn’t ride any of them. One is missing the handlebar grips. They all had flat tires and there was a pump but it did not fit the valve stem. There were pool chairs but half were broken and there wasn’t very many beach chairs or floats. The biggest disappointment was the lights at the dock did not work. Not one of them. Our plan was to night fish (I have boys) and we had to do this in the pitch black dark. We contacted the manager and owner with a response that the electrical company was called. They said they would come at 530 on Thursday when we contacted them on Monday. They never came. The manager did come and change the lights but that didn’t correct the problem. Also, the pool light still doesn’t work. They said the pool company has ordered the light but it had not come in. I see in past post this has been a problem as far backI as February. This makes me think is not repairable. The owner and manager were very responsive when I contacted them but could not resolve the issues. It’s sad that this property has been neglected when it’s such a great vacation spot. After all this I would probably rent again but it’s too expensive when none of the money has been put back into the property.

Excellent location

The location is amazing. A 3 minute boat ride to the open water, a private dock, a boat ramp and plenty of room for the boat trailer. The house itself was average. But anyone renting this house usually wouldn’t be planning on spending much time inside due to the location. Similar to other reviews, it is outdated and wasn’t cleaned properly. We had to wash the bed linens and the pillow cases in the master due to hair being in the pillow cases and sheets. Very roomy and comfortable beds. Big kitchen. Could use some more towels, utensils and linens. But nothing with the house itself, that hindered our stay. The house offers access to a private beach club with pool, bar, food and a beach which was a plus. The only reason that I gave three stars was due to the cleanliness and the checkout process. Checkout time was 10am. As other people stated the cleaning crew arrived around 8am. As I was loading my truck and boat, they asked me if we could be out as soon as we can because there were other people checking in that day. They were just staring at us while we were loading the boat and the truck like we were inconveniencing them by still being there at 8. Check in time is not until 3pm. If I was out by 10am, the stated checkout time, that would give the two of them 5 hours to clean. I could clean and do a better job, by myself, in half the time. They entered the adjoining property while the guests were loading and began to clean while the family was still in the house, well before 10am. In my opinion rather inexcusable and rude. I would suggest to the owner to read the reviews and fix the things that are repeated in multiple reviews, that are under their control. Other than that overall a great stay.
