Key Largo 3 Bedroom Penthouse Condo with Boat Slip and Bay View

Enjoy your vacation in this unique 1580 square foot Penthouse Suite with all the amenities of home. Your suite is a rare find with three bedrooms and covered parking which will accommodate three cars. With exception of the two and one half bathrooms there are beautiful Florida Bay views from every room including the ample 300 square foot lanai accessible from the master bedroom or the dining room. With the back drop of the bay view, the living room, dining room and the lanai also overlook the immaculate swimming pool and kiddie pool area. The suite is furnished to every imagination with all linens, towels, kitchen counter top appliances, large dish, glassware and flatware selections, even a high chair and play pen. Be sure to bring your favorite music which you can play on the CD/cassette player or watch one of three TVs, one with a DVD/VCR player.


The Moon Bay complex is conveniently located not only to the Florida Keys activities but also not far from the Florida Everglades, Coconut Grove, just about an hour to Miami Beach and a little over two to historic Key West. Make your vacation memorable by choosing our spacious condo to simply relax by the pool and enjoy beautiful sunsets or make it your base to explore the wonderfully unique Florida Keys.

It is tastefully decorated with tropical details including wall and knick-knack art. For long-term vacationers, there is ample closet and storage space.
Moon Bay is a first class waterfront property. It includes tennis courts, a water-side, barbecue/tiki picnic area, and your own private, easy access boat slip that will accommodate up to a 30' boat. Other common areas include two saunas, ping pong, a lounge area with TV, tastefully placed open-air patios for small group conversations or for just relaxing with a good book. Adjacent to the swimming pool is a large sunning deck that doubles as a fabulous vantage to enjoy sunsets over the bay. Within walking distance are two of our favorite snorkel and dive operators (Amoray and Kelly's) and some of our many favorite restaurants (Hobos, Sundowners and Sr. Friholes) and bars (Caribbean Club and Cactus Jacks).

Dive sunken ship wrecks including the largest intentionally sunken ship, the Spiegel Grove and others. Wet a line and encounter world class deep sea or flats fishing in nearby waters.

The property was great, especially the big screened in porch. However, it does need some upgrades - but nothing that will keep us from coming back. The sunsets from the top floor were amazing!

Relaxing stay with lots if time @ the pool. Fishing charters (Trublue Charters) picks you up right @ the docks. Clean fish fileting table. Grilled the catch @ the clean common area by the water. Safe & secure compound. Looking forward to another stay, in the not too distant future.👍🏖🍹

Spacious Rental with a View

We’ve stayed at Moon Bay multiple times in recent years prior to our stay in penthouse B503 & this visit did not disappoint. It’s such a friendly and well maintained resort community with so much to offer. We had everything we needed, and Dave & Melanie were very kind and responsive to any questions we had. Keys Condo was very fun!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The space was very comfortable for our party of 6. We loved the screened in porch. The property was great, the kids liked the pool (though it was pretty hot in August). My favorite was probably taking the kayaks out at sunset. We used the condo as a great base to explore the keys and we enjoyed our trip very much!

Great Stay in the Keys

My family and I had a great time. The condo community had almost everything you could want on vacation from relaxing pool to game room to BBQ area to hammocks to watch the sunset to kayaks to a slip for the boat. The unit has a great view and the owner/ host was real nice. My family and I had a great time and if we don't travel to the Bahamas by boat for our next vacation we will come back here to the keys.

Really enjoyed this property

We have stayed all up and down the Keys for many years. It is one of our favorite places to vacation because we enjoy boating, diving and fishing. This was our first time staying at Moon Bay Condos and we were very impressed. The particular condo we stayed in was one of only two penthouses on the fifth floor. The layout was perfect for our family. The master is immediately upon entering, then down the hall is the living and dining area, kitchen and two other bedrooms. The living room has floor to ceiling windows with a spectacular view of the pool. The unit also has a very large outdoor screen room with bar and comfortable sitting area. During the milder, less humid months that would be a wonderful place to hang out with family. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need. And having a washer and dryer made it possible to pack light because we knew we could launder clothes as needed. We also found a number of fun games which we played in the evening. The grounds are well maintained with numerous hammocks overlooking the water. In the air conditioned clubhouse there was a foosball game, ping pong table and large screen tv and sitting area. This unit has a boat slip which offered the ultimate in convenience as we pursued our daily boating adventures. The owners were friendly and very easy to communicate with. I can highly recommend this rental for anyone desiring to stay in Key Largo.

Moon Bay Vacation

Moon Bay is located in the heart of Key Largo with many activities just a short drive away. The condo has a very nice layout, although the decor is a bit dated. We loved having the use of the properties kayaks and paddleboards and the fishing was amazing!

Great Place!

The space was amazing for our family of 5! The complex was very family friendly. We throughly enjoyed the pool and foosball table. The unit was dated but had all the things we needed for a fun week. We will definitely be booking again!

2021 Moon Bay , Key Largo

Moon bay condominiums had so much to do on the property it was all kept up very well, The condo was nice and large for the family beautiful views of the pool and the bay . The inside of the condo was a little outdated but very nice. It was great that the condo came with a boat dock we were able to use our boat. The owner of the condo was very good about letting us know all the information we needed to have. Thank you so much Dave and Melanie, we had a wonderful time

We had 8 people ranging from less than 2 to 60. Everyone had a great time. Everything you need is at the condo. Managers answered us with any questions we had immediately I would stay here again. There was some construction at the complex but not in our unit. Didn't stop the fun.

Amazing condo

We really enjoyed staying here! We had 2 families. 4 adults and 2 teens and had tons of room. We loved the closed in balcony. Highly recommend grilling out down by the water at sunset one night. The property was amazing! The condo overlooks the pool so our girls could go swim and we could still keep an eye on them. AMAZING sunset views - go to the end of the boat dock. My brother snorkeled at the beach area and found several cool creatures. At no point was it crowded. Every single person we ran into was super friendly. The location was perfect, tons to do within short drive. All pictures shown in the ad is accurate. We will definitely stay again if we return to Key Largo.

Spacious, but aging.

Lots of room in this condo, but it’s almost a 70’s time capsule. As a rental unit that the owner may not use much anymore, I can see the reluctance to put much money into it to bring it up till the late 20th century (much less there 21rst century). But it could really use some freshening. The place was clean, but needed some basic repairs/maintenance. Lots of room, what with the three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and the huge screened-in patio. The development that it’s in is well-kept and maintained. The pool and “beach” areas are nice. The docks looked to be well-kept. Easy access to everything on the Key, but I guess that could be said of just about anything on the Key. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and can’t complain much, since we basically used it as our home base for scuba activities, and it meet that need. We were just a little surprised at how dated the condo is.

Perfect Penthouse

We absolutely loved our time at Moon Bay on Key Largo. The condo was spacious. Perfect for 6 family members over 3 generations. Pool, beach, docking, sunset views.. what more could you ask for? We will definitely plan to return.

Thanksgiving week 2020

In life, only very few times are things perfect! Flexibility is key. Dave( the owner) is a great communicator and helped anytime we had questions or concerns. Great to work with!! While some things in the condo are dated (Tv's are all flatscreens now) it wasn't anything that ruined our trip. We had six "adults" so we did buy some extra supplies. There was plenty of room to hang out, eat and play cards. The boat dock is beautiful and has all the amenities any fisherman needs! Since the weather wasn't the greatest we did a lot of fishing off the dock at night and on the Gulf side during the day . Large Tarpon and mangrove snapper were present and made fishing off the lighted dock at night loads of fun! The complex is very tight so boat launching and trailer storage is accomplished a building or so past Moon Bay at "The Carribian"...no issues there. All the outdoor property amenities are kept pristine!! I would say the biggest downfall of this location is the fact that the elevator does not come down to the parking level and there are no ramps to the elevator Lobby area. Therefore it is not handicap friendly and bringing anything upstairs including groceries and luggage has to be brought up a few sets of stairs before you can use the luggage carts. That being said, everything added up it was a great time.

Great view, lots of room, needs facelift

We previously stayed in a smaller condo at Moon Bay and liked it, so we had family joining us and decided on a larger different condo. The view was great overlooking the pool and bay. It had a large lanai that was nice for relaxing, but with a tropical storm traveling through, we couldn't spend much time there. In comparison to other condos we've rented through VRBO we were disappointed in the shape of the place and the supplies for daily living. Upon entering, the door latch posed a challenge. It was cumbersome unlocking and the latch was bent from others trying to enter. Once we got the hang of how to manage the lock it was easier. All the dining room chairs wobbled significantly and we were concerned if they'd break. Skillets, cooking and eating utensils were in poor shape. There were not many utensils so we were always washing spoons and forks. It is clear that the condo needs to be updated; wall paper is coming off, shower tile is stained, light switches and garbage disposal were malfunctioning, and the dryer element may be failing or the dryer is just worn out, light bulbs didn’t work, clock didn't work, and rugs (over the carpet all through the condo) were a constant fall-hazard. One night the rain was so heavy it overflowed from the lanai into our bedroom. The owner was surprised by this and for it I don't blame them--it was a tropical storm. However, for 4 days the whole place smelled musty until it dried. The main door also leaked and the hallway carpet was also soaked. The TV options were difficult to figure out--having directions for guests would have been helpful. They didn't have many washcloths so we bought two and we all felt the beds were 'fair' in comfort. Pillows were abundant yet all were flat and old. The owners were nice and responsive to communications but overall, I think it's overpriced for the quality. I regret to share only a fair review of this condo, it is the first suboptimal review I've had to share over 10 years using VRBO. It had a lovely pool and dock for fishing and a close grocery store. Hopefully with some upgrades, the next review will be better.
