This property is a time-share, not an actual hotel, which was not clearly communicated.
While Expedia indicated that parking was available, we assumed the property had its own parking. Instead, parking was at a nearby garage for approximately $30 per day, which was an unpleasant surprise.
Our room was connected to another via a locked door, and the guests on the other side repeatedly attempted to open it. This was unsettling and made us feel unsafe.
The property advertises “water” during specific times, which turned out to be flavoured water. While this might appeal to some, it seemed unnecessary and irrelevant.
We also had an odd encounter with a maid who spoke no English and tried to enter our room. We couldn’t figure out why, which added to the discomfort.
Our ground-floor room had neither cell reception nor a functioning Wi-Fi signal. When we raised this issue, staff gave us a password for an internal/staff network, but it didn’t work either. The front desk claimed there was an island-wide internet outage due to problems with the service provider. However, we verified this wasn’t true as there were no connectivity issues at another hotel we stayed at.
Given the accumulation of issues, we ultimately decided to check out early
