“THE PLACE IS STILL UNDER REMODELING, THERE'S PLENTY OF PARKING EVEN FOR BIG TRUCKS. THE ROOMS HAVE THE LARGE TOILET SEAT. SADLY THERE'S NO BREAKFAST. NOT EVEN COFFE OR COOKIES 🙁”

“Boy, does this place take me back to my childhood when places like this were the norm. A cute, little roadside motel that was so common in the 1960s/70s, before the generic and bland chain hotels took over. Though dated (obviously), the room was clean and comfortable. The service was very good and the one staff member that checked me in was friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the "throwback" feel of this place, and felt a real sense of nostalgia staying there. We need more places like the……

“I was surprised there is no staff but the automated check in process worked just fine. The room was clean and ready for guests. And the place met our needs. Nothing bad to say.”

“If your looking for peace and quiet out in the country then this is a place to go. This farmhouse has plenty of room,privacy,good kitchen,patio and a cool hot tub. The location is good as well it was in the middle of alot of things that we wanted to explore like alot of state parks,New ulm,walnut grove.This is a very nice place.The owners are also very prompt at getting back to you with questions that tou might have. Thanks again for the wonderful stay alot of good memories were made.”

“Overall was extremely dirty with rust, mold on the bathroom ceilings, chipping paint, tiles falling off the shower walls, carpets that felt oily. Hallways smell damp. The staff was very kind, though. Beds were okay. Smelled clean. Unfortunately the pictures did not match the state of the rooms. I do not think there is much that could be fixed here without major repairs. ”

“We booked online. No indication in the advertising that the building had totally deteriorated. Some effort was being done for remodel, but, the outside of the building, looked like it was abandoned. I'm talking, large strips of siding peeling off the exterior. Grass growing in the cracks of the sidewalks. The restaurant had red signs posted on the door that it was uninhabitable. The pool/sauna was in a similar state. We had no hot water in the morning. One washcloth for 2 people. The mattress……

“Property had bugs and was not super clean. No warm water in my room, lightbulbs missing. Staff was very nice but overall I would not stay here again”
