“Our family consisting of us, the parents, our three grown children and their spouses, and three grandchildren, stayed at the property in Banchory for three days, but I sorely wished it could have been a week. The property is stunning and the house is everything you might wish a Scottish manor house to be. It took us a couple of days to not get lost inside while roaming around. If someone wanted to get away to a quiet place, that was definitely not a problem! But it was the setting that really……

“The steading was beautiful, amazingly well appointed, we wanted for nothing. All rooms were spacious with storage and lovely bathrooms. All the services of the hotel at our disposal and the warm friendly staff and great well priced food made our stay even better. We will definitely be returning!”

“Just wow! We spent a magical two weeks at Ballentober. The staff were quick to answer questions and to help out when needed. The cottage is exactly as advertised and as beautiful as you are probably imagining. We were so sad to leave and hope to be back again soon! ”

“This is a very well equipped, spacious property which was real pleasure to stay in. The garden is well maintained with good outside seating and a BBQ. It is centrally located in Ballater so easy to visit shops and restaurants on foot, close to the golf course and local walks in easy reach. Mark, the host was very welcoming and promptly answered queries. We would stay here again. Great place.”

“4 adults, 2 children and a dog visited Cairnie cottage from 3rd - 6th Jan, our first impressions were that the photos on the VRBO website do not do the cottage justice.It is a very nice cottage, all rooms are spacious including the bathrooms. The cottage is well equipped throughout with modern bathrooms and kitchen.It is located a short walk to a few bars, restaurants and hotels in Ballater itself so perfect for visiting the Deeside area and would recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a……

“Beautiful, tranquil spot to get away from city life. Estate was a gorgeous example of Scottish Nature yet close enough to be able to walk into town. The cottage was the perfect size for 4, and the internet worked fantastic. The only draw back was the weak signal for tv; we could only get 1 channel in with any regularity. But this isn't the type of place you would sit and just watch tv anyways so we didn't care. The host was responsive with our questions prior to staying and the overall……
