Het complex staat in een mooie en rustige omgeving op korte afstand van de Grant Grove en de Big Stump Grove. Er is een gezellige gemeenschappelijke ruimte met een haardvuur. De kamer heeft een rustieke uitstraling, maar is wel enigszins gedateerd. De gerechten in het Grant Grove restaurant waren beter dan verwacht.

What a lovely property. Clean, comfortable, quiet. The check in was easy. The staff was welcoming. The restaurant was closed, for some work, but the recommended another hotels' restaurant and it was close. I would love to stay again, in the future.

Super gelegen, um alle Orte im King's Canyon National Park schnell zu erreichen. Die Ausstattung ist einfach. Plus war für uns der Kühlschrank. Die Hotelzimmer in der Lodge sind etwas klein, aber ok, wenn man nur ein Tage verbringt. Für längere Aufenthalte sind ggf. die Cabins die bessere Option.

John Muir lodge is the only place where to spend the night outside the north part of Sequoia Park. Very basic lodge for the price. Limited water pressure in shower. Clean and large room. No A/C only heater. Coffee in the room but no breakfast at the lodge. The restaurant is 5 min walk from there to offer basic lunch, diner and breakfast.

We couldn’t sleep because of an intermittent noise the whole night! We thought it was the heater but after struggling to sleep the whole night we found out it was the refrigerator unit that was old and was making that sound! The keurig coffee maker had water left over from who knows when… so we chose not to use it since couldn t clean it…Also the dining choices were very limited and the only restaurant in the property food was like can food😩. Hope they improve that too. But otherwise rooms were clean😊
