“Well equipped nice property. Great view! Screened patio to enjoy morning coffee. Don’t miss Grandfather Mountain winery. Nice to have air conditioning and washer dryer on property. One standup shower was plenty for the family. Located close to Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock.”

“The stay was relaxing and tucked away up on the top of the mountain. Everything we needed to cook and we enjoyed the warm welcome with a bottle of wine & chocolate. The deck was my favorite part, plenty of room and comfortable patio furniture, our puppy loved the plush woods and the small trail to a picnic area. You definitely need a vehicle to climb ruff terrain, steep hills, and sharp turns. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway, thank you Matt and Chris!”

“I went for a solo retreat and found the atmosphere in and outside the cabin to be of comfort and peace. Beautiful interior design and well thought out. I had everything I needed and also took advantage of the homemade breakfast! I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend. ”

“Had a great time staying here the space is just big enough to be comfortable while the outside is a very enjoyable area to hang out and relax. It's also conveniently located to Boone and there lots of things to do within a short drive”

“The cabin is very well taken care of. We 1st stayed when it was fairly new. The hot tub is excellent, clean, clear, and no chlorine smell. Quite and away from the hussle and bussle of life. ”

“Excellent stay on top of the mountain with a beautiful view from the deck for miles and miles. This is a great spot if you want to be alone. It is important that you realize this house is on top of a mountain. It is NOT suited for someone in a wheelchair. The walk from the parking spot to the house is up a severe incline. If you want to go for a walk on the road, it is a very steep road. This is great if you want to be isolated and everyone in your party is fit enough to climb stairs. We stayed……

“My husband, dog and I had a wonderful stay at Two Steps Down. It was perfect for us - clean, cozy, well-stocked and (best of all) right in the middle of everything in downtown Blowing Rock. We loved the fire pit! It was great to have a fenced in yard for our dog. We will definitely be back! ”
