All the houses we’ve stayed at in Carlton Landing have been fantastic, but there were a few extra perks for our family with the Independence House. Its location is perfect for walking everywhere and is facing a big open grassy area where the kiddos had a blast playing football, wiffle ball, and even getting to fly a kite! A huge perk for my coffee obsessed husband was the espresso maker and bean……

“We loved the screened in porch...the weekend was rainy, we would have been stir crazy otherwise. We never made it to the living room which looked very comfortable. The house was very clean and we had plenty of space. The kitchen had all of the supplies we needed. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles and the boat.”

“We had a wonderful experience staying at this property. It was a luxurious getaway in the beautiful setting of Carlton Landing. Lots of space and great main living/kitchen area. The kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials, but if you were planning to make a larger meal (big bbq), you might be a little hard pressed for serving dishes/utensils. There were very few kitchen wash clothes or towels, so I would recommend bringing a few of your own if you plan on using the kitchen much. We had……

We ate all of our meals in and found all we needed in the kitchen. There was no oven, but a two-burner hot plate, microwave and roomy refrigerator. We enjoyed exploring and hiking nearby trails.
