“The decor of the cottage was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was also really good very near the beach, park, shops and cafes etc. Parking was easy right outside. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed lovely walks along the promenade. A few minor tweaks needed to make this a top class stay. Hairdryer and remote control not working correctly - both need replaced. Sofa was not very comfortable cushions were flat and worn. Light/ torch……

“Set in a beautiful area with direct access to the beach. A huge enclosed garden for our dogs and seating areas following the sun. The property is tastefully decorated and spacious it’s well equipped. I personally loved the peace listening to the waves at night, drinking coffee outside watching the sun coming up, long walks on the beach with the dogs. There is a small cafe across the road from the property. Arbroath about 6 miles away so shop before you arrive. A perfect getaway property……

“Great place to explore the nearby areas (Pitlochry, Dunkeld). We needed a space for 4 and a Bernese Mountain dog and it was a good size. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Once we figured out the heating system, it was all good. Would happily come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the BBQ.”

“What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!”

Amenities as described, we were disappointed at the lack of toiletries as the cute toiletry bottles were one of the deciders between this flat and one of similar price. Photos are doctored for colour; it's nowhere near as orange as it appears! We also had the impression it was bigger from the photos. Communication with the agent was good, she responded quickly and called back fast if we couldn't get hold of her right away. Heating works,……

“Right from the initial booking where I had excellent communication from Gillian, the owner, I knew this was going to be a great stay and it did not disappoint. The cottage is on a quiet estate, very easy to get to and the instructions were spot on. The cottage itself was immaculate. Everything you could want is provided (nice little welcome basket and milk in the fridge). Very spacious, very comfortable beds. We all had great nights sleep - it’s a very quiet location so that helped. Loved our……

"The hotel is too old, size of the room fine, but the washroom is not good enough. The bathtub is slippery and I slipped and hurt my head when I get into the bathtub. Besides, the floor in the bathroom is slippery too. The window in 4/F, half of the window is covered by concrete, the building decoration, no window view. The window in 2/F is fine. The room has high ceiling, but the window is too small. I’ve reserved 2 rooms, but they arranged one in 2/F, one in 4/F. Which makes us inconvenient to take care kids. They should aware it when we made the reservation. "
