“I stayed at the property for one week. The rooms were spacious but dated. Some fixtures need to be replaced (stained carpets, mosquito netting, shower curtains). Appeared to be mold on bathroom ceiling, and dead insect in bathroom on check-in. However, staff extremely friendly and restaurant was very good, although expensive by local standards. Wifi was sometimes inconsistent. Overall, I rate stay as average.”

“I am a picky American traveler who has stayed in multiple hotels in Kisumu. The Pinecone has excellent value for its cost. The staff are very accommodating and tried hard to address any issue that arose. Specifically, the restaurant took a long time to prepare food but that it is because each meal is 'made to order'. It took nearly an hour to receive my soup order, but I when it finally came, I could tell it was made fresh and was absolutely delicious. The next evening, I placed my dinner order……

“Very bad stay aske for more money on arrival fir no reason then gave up . Shoeed to room told no tv channels also internet not workiing . The next day we ask for room to be cleaned and clean towels . We ask 3 times duringthe day for this. Still.not leaned at 10.30pm gave up.asking . Supposed to stay 3 nights i cancelled the 3rd night still.no Internet. Really not s good stay ”

“There are two Metropak Hotels. The images show Breweries one which I presume is modern. I ended up in the other one but was too tired and wary to go to the Breweries hotel ”
