The only thing that was good about this motel is the sweet older lady working the day shift in the office.
We had booked our stay and paid in advance. I let the property know I would be having a registered service animal accompanying me due to epilepsy. We checked in at 11 AM and she asked for a card to hold on file until we checked out. No problem. At 737 PM our room phone made an odd noise and there was a missed call from the office. I went to get my cell phone and had a missed call there as well. We started to walk down to the office and a short fat man was walking to the room. He then demanded a $300 cash deposit. As the room was non refundable, we have the deposit and told him we'd be speaking with someone in the morning, to which he replied that will be me, I will be working. He could not explain why we were being singled out.
The room was absolutely disgusting. My service dog was pawing at something on the carpet and there was chocolate covered peanuts, beads, a marijuana cigarette that had been mostly smoked, and some sort of body jewelry every where. We chose not to sleep under the covers after seeing human hair that's definitely not ours in the sheets.
When we checked out, it was the sweet lady whom had checked us in. She asked how the stay was and I let her know what happened. She pulled up the account and said it was done per manager request! She returned the $300 in cash and apologized for how we were treated. Never again.
