2 Bedroom 1 Bath with Kitchenette offering all the comforts of home nestled on private wooded acreage. ( Video tour is in photos ) ( Immediate yard area is fenced. )Come enjoy the peace and quiet of this Old World Cabin with Old World charm & modern amenities. Originally built in the 1930’s by a Swedish architect and recently renovated with updated bath, granite vanity, Birch Kitchen cabinets, built in microwave, Gas logs in the original stone Fireplace. Master Bedroom Features King Size Cozy bed, 2nd bedroom features double bed and single twin bed, flip switch easy lite gas/stone fireplace, screened porch with rockers overlooking wooded hillside, original wide plank hardwood floors, covered front porch with Rocking chairs, outdoor gas grill with side burner on the deck , Xfinity hi speed Wi Fi and 2 Flat screen TVs , Fully equipped Kitchenette, with Fridge/ice maker, Hammered Copper Sink, ( no full size stove) Cook plate, toaster and built in microwave,hammered copper sink .All Linens and towels are furnished, hair dryer and Keurig coffee maker. This is such a charming and cozy cabin surrounded by woods but moments from civilization. Every nook is decorated to reflect a homey atmosphere. It looks just as advertised. The property owner checked in with us and was very responsive to my questions. The access to the cabin involves a large staircase that can be a bit challenging with luggage (and for older travelers) but so worth every step. I his was my second stay and I have recommended to others who have also stayed here and loved it!

What a great place to stay for a trip to Knoxville. It is a rustic log cabin home full of amenities…towels…coffee…nice beds. Don’t let the bear decorations fool you as we did not see any real ones. Owner is great. Good history all around you. The description of the place on VRBO is spot on. We will be back.

We had a great time staying in this cabin over the summer. Christie was very accommodating and helpful. The cabin is tucked away in the woods and surrounded by nature, and there are many native birds and bugs in the area and a dense tree canopy. The cabin is far enough away from the highway that traffic sounds are minimal. Downtown Knoxville is a 15 minute drive away and there are several parks nearby. There is access to grocery stores and restaurants within 10 minutes. The Smokey Mountains are roughly an hour away and offer plenty of outdoor activities too. Highly recommended if you're looking to be in nature with city access.

Four years at UTK went by very fast!

My son just graduated from the University of Tennessee and our very first day when he was a freshman checking him in was at the little cabin and our very last day was at the same place. Highly recommend this was our go to spot all four years and we will miss it. Thank you.

We were hoping for a magical place to lay our heads down, each night. We traveled 7 hours for the Smokey’s volleyball tournament. We were able to drive into the city within 20 minutes, parked!!! This was everything that we had hoped for and more. We would 100% recommend this beautiful chateau to Everyone, even just a couple’s weekend would be amazing. It’s absolutely Fabulous! We wanted for Nothing! Cleaner than Clean, Cozy, Private and BEAUTIFUL!!! We will book again for next year’s tournament. Thank you!

Host was very accessable

We enjoyed our stay very much. Cabin was clean cozy and had everything we needed. Host was great!, answered our texts and calls and was able to help with all our needs. She even made a trip over to the house to help. House was well equipped even without a full kitchen. We made full meals and for the most part didn’t miss the typical extras! Beds were comfy, p was great for morning coffee and house was very central to everything in Knoxville. We will definitely be back!
