House Skala is located in the old town of Kubed, also known as Grad. It is a completely renovated Istrian house that combines the comfort of modern equipment with the cosiness of traditional rural architecture. The house includes two bedrooms, a living room with a smart TV, a modern kitchen (fridge, coffee maker, kettle) and a bathroom. The rooms are air-conditioned, and free Wi-Fi, towels and bed linen are also available. Kubed is a village where the past and the present intertwine through historical and cultural sights, such as the unique five-cornered tower, the medieval church of St. Florjan, defensive walls and the birthplace of the poet Alojz Kocjančič. The village also offers cultural events and traditional events. In 2024 interactive experiences were launched, such as the fairy-tale trail "Giants of Istria", which allows you to explore nature and learn about local culture. The surrounding area of the village is great for hiking and cycling, and there are many attractions nearby, such as the Osp climbing wall (9.8 km), the church in Hrastovlje with a fresco of the death dance (5.6 km) and numerous resorts along the Slovenian and Croatian coast, including Koper (15 km), Portorož (28 km) and Umag (45 km). Visitors can also visit Trieste (28 km), Piran (31 km), Lipica (32 km) and Postojna Cave (55 km), while more distant cities include Ljubljana (102 km), Venice (191 km), Pula (108 km) and Bled (151 km).
