As a long customer of this hotel, I can both see and feel that the hotel is experiencing changes. Ten years ago, eight years ago - and until last year - I could enjoy the fabulous breakfast in their restaurant. My kids once even enjoyed room service breakfast before heading for their rugby festival. I also remember the friendly staff providing bottles of water for me when I headed out for a stroll around. Now, the restaurant does not belong to the hotel. No breakfast room service. No bottle water (another type of 'filtered water' under the banner of environmental friendliness, perfect um?). We got up early to walk to the nearby MOKO KFC for breakfast. And there was a huge barrier on the corridor floor connecting the hotel with the mall - seriously? it is deployed to bar customers from entering the mall? Fifteen minutes later, when we detoured to sit down in KFC, another senior woman moved the barrier to trigger an alarm that one can hear one km away...
