“We had a really poor experience… 1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty 2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing. 3) extremely un-friendly staff who were showing absolutely no interest in the welfare of the guests. 4) It was extremely hot during day time, so we asked them to switch on the AC and they said AC will be available only from 9pm. 5) We bought some expensive prawns from the shop they took as to ,……

“We booked a premium room but the room given was completely different to the photos provided. Address was different to what was given on here. Had to wait over an hour for check in time evenknow we arrived within check in time. When we asked about the room being premium we were ignored. On boat staff were fine and accomodating which is the reason I didnt give a lower rating. We ended up booking another place for the second night because we were so disappointed. ”

“The food on the trip was amazing. We were able to stop and the purchase king prawns and fish and the staff fried it for us. The boat was clean and had been recently refurbished. The owner was responsive to our emails. The trip was overall an enjoyable experience for our family. It's great to see the life along the communities as you slowly move along the back waters.”

“These houseboats are not the ones featured in the pictures. It was a different company from the advertised Northstar, it is rather Coco houseboats. The first boat offered to us was awful with no comfortable seating area and the bedrooms were dismal with dirty linen. We complained and were given a second larger boat with marginally better seating, however on inspection of the bedrooms we were appalled by the state of the bedroom. “Loved my stay on Marvel. Did two nights and enjoyed every minute. The staff was wonderful, professional and kind. Food was amazing, especially the celebratory lunch that was served on my second day. Absolutely beautiful cruise - highly recommend this experience. ”
