Come to Kure Beach, North Carolina and bask in the warm weather and warm friendships to be found on Pleasure Island! Walk into your oceanfront condominium and discover the ocean scenery up close. From your top floor deck, marvel at the beauty of the ocean, enjoy a morning coffee, and play with the birds. A beautiful sandy beach is just a few steps away with direct beach access and an outdoor shower. If you're an early bird, you can have your coffee on the deck and watch the sunrise over the Atlantic, a breathtaking sight to behold! Watch the dolphins play and the pelicans soar - how could you not find relaxation here?

We have one assigned parking space in front and a guest parking space just to the left of the building. We have an elevator, so you don't have to climb stairs with all your food and luggage. Also, because this vacation condo is on the top floor, you won't have anyone above you stomping around!

When you arrive, you will notice glass sliders with a great ocean view from both the living room and the primary bedroom. Your vacation rental comes completely furnished including all the kitchen and household supplies, a smooth top stove, and Pergo flooring. All you need to bring is your food. There is a queen size bed in the primary bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. We have a new (Oct 2022) washer and dryer. Because we are an end unit, you have added windows on the side to let the sun in too. You will also have complete access to three outdoor pools and an indoor pool at the Rec Center. We hire only the best cleaners to make sure you don't have to worry about the appearance of the condo when you arrive!

Ocean Dunes HOA manages the pools and rec center. We are not responsible if they are closed, nor does this qualify you for a discount/refund.

This is a no smoking, no pets property.
You must be at last 25 years old to enter into a rental contract
We provide the sheets, bath towels, pillows, bedspreads, and blankets.

Despite Debby most of the week, we enjoyed the condo. Never lost power. The management co was very responsive. They replaced the toaster with a toaster oven within 2 hrs of reporting . Zip tied the hurricane shutters banging against condo and brought towels to handle water coming in bedroom door. Manager assisted w/luggage, 4th flr due elevator inoperative.

Great Vacation

We loved the condo. It was clean and nicely decorated. The elevator was certainly a plus. We appreciated the starter products. We were surprised to find out that the parking for this unit is not under the building. It would be nice to know that before booking. There is not much room to park a full size pickup truck.

A wonderful and relaxing experience

When we opened the door to the condo, we were impressed right away. The layout was comfortable, the two bedrooms and baths were set up nicely, and the view was spectacular. Being on the 3rd (actually 4th) floor, you have a great view of the ocean. Being an end unit, it is also more quiet and private. The condo was very clean, although the shower in the master was showing it's age, but then again, everything rusts at the beach. We ate our dinners on the deck and truly relished the view. Looking forward to a follow-up visit. The management company was so easy to deal with, and the info provided in the app made it easy to walk right in the door. My two requests would be better directions to the unit in the building, and a new flatbed cart to haul our luggage up the elevator and to the condo. It was shot. Our thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely condo.

Nice place but rocks

People should be aware of big rock outcrops on water’s edge. If kids or others go in at high tide where rocks are covered, it is dangerous. Can’t swim in front of condo so you have to move up or down beach. Otherwise it’s a nice place. I would rent again. Small for 6 adults because only 2 bedrooms and sleeper sofa folded out takes up living room.

Wonderful property

This property is perfect for a beach vacation! We loved watching the sunrise without having to get out of bed and the property was steps from the beach. The property was clean with plenty of pots / pans and dishes to cook all week. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Way too many roaches would not recommend

We saw live roaches scurrying in every room of the condo. On the countertops of the kitchen, nestled in the dishtowels, on the nightstands next to the beds, of course in the bathroom, in both bedrooms, under the dining table. They are especially more numerous in the evening hours. Its too many roaches. We could not stay there and ended up leaving early. Its not easy to lug groceries and luggage up three floors but you hope that once you do, you can enjoy your vacation and not worry something is crawling up your leg. Also, and this seems minor in comparison with the roaches, they wrap all their sheets pillow cases and towels in plastic wrap which makes them all smell like horrible plastic and I'm sure is great for the environment and any toddlers which might happen into the gigantic wads of plastic wrap from the bedding. Management seems more concerned with managing my feedback than managing the underlying infestation. We lost money staying here and I don't want anyone else to lose their money or their precious vacation time. The place is decorated with beachy quotes and the kitchen looks newly renovated so its a shame that its so infested but I would not feel right about not leaving an honest review. They need to really get more pest control in than they already have and they seem unwilling to come to grips with the reality of the situation.

Wonderful Week At The Beach

The view from the porch is amazing, the beds are super comfortable and the condo is very well stocked! Loved walking the beach at Fort Fisher… so close! We couldn’t have asked for more! Excellent customer service, too! We would definitely like to return.

Great for a getaway at the beach

Top floor view and experience of the ocean. Well stocked kitchen, updated and fresh. Games for families. The main bedroom bed was excellent. That is a treat for sure! Easy access to beach. Only negative would be the quality of the bath towels provided. They do not absorb water and are thin-ish. We had a most enjoyable week at this place.

Amazing view!

The view of the ocean from the condo can’t be beat! It has easy beach access right at the bottom of stairs. Having an elevator as well was so convenient. The owners seem to be in the process of upgrading furnishings which is nice and we all thought our mattresses were comfy and seemed fairly new. The property managers responded quickly to every question or concern I had. We had a wonderful stay!

This condo is truly in a great location in Kure Beach and the view from the condo is fantastic! Also access to the beach is so easy. The condo was very clean and tidy and the decor was really nice. Overall we were pleased and satisfied.

Perfect!!!

Absolutely loved this rental!! We had never been to Kure Beach before and some friends recommended it so we thought we’d give it a try this year. The condo is located at the very end of town. It’s quiet and the beach never got crowded. We’ve been to Myrtle Beach several times and this is so much more laid back. It’s on the top floor at the end of the building and the views were amazing. We did have an initial issue with the fridge when we arrived. It looks like the previous renters had meat that leaked into the crevices and there was a bad smell. The rental company did offer to have the cleaning company come back, but we had already cleaned it. The couch could also be replaced as there wasn’t much support. Other than that, it was probably the cleanest rental I have ever stayed at. There were plenty of dishes and silverware to use and all appliance worked well. I was so sad to leave and would love to come back to this same rental in the future.

Many problems

At first glance, this looks like a nice unit. However, there were many problems. Among them: dryer lint trap is broken and interior severely rusted; limited dinnerware (7 plates - had to run the dish washer every day); vent fan in second bath is falling out of the ceiling; three of the four chairs are broken (this was in a previous review); furniture is very uncomfortable (we had to pad the couch with our pillows); we tried to access the storage room that housed beach chairs but there was so much junk piled up outside the storage unit, we couldn't get anything out. The unit was mostly clean. There was a line of mold around the base of the shower. And, the baseboards were nasty. And, the cleaning crew left an envelope suggesting a gratuity. The management team called and sent a text message about maintenance on the A/C. They gave the entry code to the technician, and they voice mail said "we trust these guys.". I was at the pool without my phone and didn't get the message. The technician arrived within minutes of my return and knocked. But, if I had been busy, in the shower, or returned a few minutes later and found a strange man in my unit, I'm not sure what I would have done. And, I feel they put the technician's safety at great risk. The indoor pool was okay, chilly,but usable. The women's changing room smelled like urine -- needed a thorough cleaning. I purchased the linen package but did not get any kitchen linen (dish towels). The linens we did get were very nice. The only truly good thing about this unit is the view. We would not stay here again.

Best view of the ocean in North Carolina!

If you are a couple or a couple with two young children, 3-4 individual adults, this condo is the perfect fit for you. Cleaning crew did a TREMENDOUS job - it was spotless. We brought out own linens due to COVID. The couch could use a refresh as it just sucks you in and is not very comfortable to sit in for any long period. The deck is the best feature as you are on the third floor (not a roof top) and it is on the corner so you get a stunning view of the water. The waves practically lap right up to the building - I don't see how you could get any closer. The condo is tastefully decorated and needs just a few updates like new kitchen chairs (2 were falling apart), some new pans, a new shower head and tissue holder in the main bathroom and maybe a smart tv in the main bedroom. I think new owners have acquired this unit so I am sure they are working on updates. I would definitely stay here again with my 11 and 15 year old daughter. We needed a sanity/mental health few days at the beach and we just heated food up in the cute kitchen and enjoyed walking on the beach and looking at those amazing mysterious rocks. . .wow. If a King Bed is ever added, I would stay with my husband too. I would love for the elevator to be better marked and maybe lighted building numbers as we had a hard time finding anything in the dark when we first arrived. This is a wonderful location and so much classier than Myrtle. If you want quiet relaxation, this is your best bet - the heated indoor pool in the recreation area was amazing as well. Everyone we talked to were polite, courteous and professional.
