“We arrived at the property but were unable to get a proper address or access code.We were unable to contact the property owner at all and neither could the VRBO representative I contacted to assist us. We had to find alternative accommodation which was very inconvenient and frustrating. We felt like we had been scammed!!Do not reserve this property!!!”

“Disappointed that a service apartment didn’t have drinking water. The gas stove was disconnected so we couldn’t cook. The place is falling apart, not clean. The sofa set in the living room looks dirty and has wet spots and dark marks. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying on this property. ”

“Neighbourhood is the most filthy part of Dar es Salaam. Serious health concerns due to uncleanliness of both property and furniture inside. Owners moved me to a different property which also had issues of water. The showering water was coming out at a pace that it would take you 40 minutes to fill up a 20 litre bucket. I send the owner a video to which they promised to send someone to fix it, but they never. There is also serious electrical metre problem at the property . We kept on recharging……

“Great stay at Fig Tree residences. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast with a range of options like greek yoghurt and freshly cooked eggs. Rooms were clean and comfortable, good internet connection. There's also a gym with a decent selection of equipment.”

“ The property has no microwave. Electricity is rationed. you’re only given 28 units of electricity after which you buy. This is outrageous . It was never communicated online or in the welcome information. We got there and found a dirty room with one towel and one pillow. The owner was surprised to see us and yet he had written to us through expedia to welcome us. The property have basics like slippers , tissue paper, soap, dish detergent and the owner is extremely rude. They also need to work……
