“The condo was only a few steps from a beautiful beach with a great ocean view from the balcony . It had all the amenities to make my 7 week a perfect vacation , a quiet area in the east end of Cabarete about a 30 minute walk to the main town , but several little grocery stores and small restaurants just a short walk away. There is a little bus that goes into town for only 50 pesos and comes by frequently or you could rent a car but beware of the crazy drivers here.(no road rules here ). Nice……

“Our holiday in paradise started with the hostess greeting us with a cake she had baked. It was very touching. Lovely condo, very clean and towels and linen provided. Our host also drove us to the grocery store twice, which was so helpful. At one point, we needed a toaster that worked. It took approximately five minutes to give us another one! They also cooked dinner for us one night...such nice, friendly, helpful people!We definitely loved our holiday...and rebooked for next year. Please……

“BEWARE!!!!!! 3 hours before my check-in time, I contacted the host for check-in instructions (it's an apartment, not a hotel with reception). The person told me that the apartment wasn't available but said they will help me find accommodation and urged me to get refund from Expedia as the new place wanted cash. After confirming that I got the refund, she said 'ok so I don't owe you anything, you're on your own finding a room, I'm not going to do it'. Wasted a day of my vacation trying to find a……
