Nice room, but several "gripes"

Overall, a pleasant room, well appointed and great location but there were several items that were below expectations an. They included: - the North building parking is on the ground floor, but all rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. Not an inconvenience walking up/down stairs, but the narrow stairwells made it cumbersome with luggage. - rooms have a physical metal key that fits into a lock (i.e., no programmable "credit card" key). Only problem, there was just one key to this room (#12). Front desk did not know there the second key was. Made it inconvenient when my spouse and I had different agendas. - Our room WiFi was agonizingly slow. Front desk could not tell us why, but they did instruct us to log on to another room's WiFi which worked fine. - On entering the room, discovered one bedside lamp was broken. I reported it to the front desk and the lamp was never replaced or fixed. - Finally, I was really taken aback when I requested a one hour late checkout. I asked the front desk person for a late checkout and she replied "Checkout is at 11." Me: "I know that, but I am requesting a noon checkout." Her: "There will be a fee for that." In all my years of traveling I have never had a response like that. If the hotel cannot accommodate a late checkout, I understand, just tell me that, e.g. "I'm sorry, we are booked solid and we need that room." Her response felt like a shakedown. Don't know if I would stay there again.

Girls trip

Room was amazing and no far from beach, restaurants, and shops. Check in was super easy and younger lady was friendly. Check out was not hard just had an unfriendly worker at the front.
