“Much better area of Lahad Datu, compared to town closer to airport. Lots of small shops and a good supermarket below hotel. Area feels relatively safe and we enjoyed the Night Market for dinner (although we were very much a spectacle for locals who are not used to tourists). Hotel itself is reasonably modern, good size bathroom and shower. Beds were OK for comfort and air con worked OK.
