Do not book this place! Before I arrived I received a check-in link and it asked me to submit my ID and Credit Card information to pay for the $20 pet fee and incidentals. When I arrived the front desk clerk demanded I give her my credit card again, I told her I checked in online and had already paid the fee. She became short and rude as she explained that it didn’t actually charge me, it just placed a hold. Completely understandable. She handed me the key to the room and it was for the 2nd floor. I asked if there was anything on the ground floor since I had also requested that during booking. She said no and also informed me that there are no elevators either. When I walked into my room I was hit with a wall of cigarette stench. A visible ashtray on the side table. I rang downstairs and told them I didn’t book a smoking room, the clerk insisted I picked a smoking room. If I now wanted a non-smoking room, I would need to pay an additional $30. I thought it was outrageous, especially since I didn’t book a smoking room. Since I booked with Expedia, she told me to take it up with them. Expedia took zero accountability even though they confirm that I didn’t select a smoking room. They tell me the hotel will not budge & I have to pay. Only after escalating the call did they agree to cover the $30 in the form of a credit! The clerk called the owner and they were also unwilling to help even though it was midnight on Easter. I left & forfeited $80 because I couldn’t justify $50 more.
