The place is a bit older and the door locks are not working properly. I had to repack and change rooms twice in the same day because the card readers and door locks were not working. Everything else was good. But a bit of an inconvenience.

Well, this wasn’t our first stay at the Station House Inn. On this stay though our room was surrounded by a fraternity which kidding overtook the property on what was supposed to be a relaxing birthday weekend. The pool was inaccessible due to the number of them using it. Both nights we were kept awake, or awakened by them. The first night there was a girl piling outside our room, a broken bottle and loud, obnoxious yelling until past 2am. Tried calling the front desk but there was no answer. The second night was slightly better but they came back loudly at 2am and woke us up. Unfortunate that we spent the money to stay here and had a not so great time on this outing. Station Houses features are good and their Rooms are clean. Just wish we hadn’t had this experience or had been offered some sort of refund or compensation for two crappy nights of sleep.

Best hotel in Tahoe! S’mores for all. Beer & wine upon check in. Popcorn for movie night. A treat for the pup! Only downfall was the pool and hot tub were closed when we came, so I had a disappointed family member.

The fire alarm battery started dying and the fire alarm started beeping LOUDLY in the early hours of the morning. I didn’t want to get up to try to fix it (it was too high for me to reach) because I didn’t want to wake up my kids who seemed to be able to sleep through it. Unfortunately they had fitful sleep from it as well. I, however, had to drive 8 hours to our next destination and had to ingest a ton of caffeine to stay awake and alert after not sleeping. Told the front desk staff and she didn’t care- just thanked me for letting them know the fire alarm needed a new battery… Gee, glad I could help. The situation could easily have been avoided with regular maintenance if the alarms. Really annoyed to have paid what we did for the room for us all to have slept so poorly. The people on the room next door to us were also watching tv and it came right through the walls. Luckily they had turned it off by 11pm or it could have been a rough night due to that as well. Breakfast was also lacking with an unpopular oatmeal flavoring and little else. Overall, the room was fine. You can tell it is an old lodge that they’ve done a few renovations to to being it up to date a bit. I didn’t try out the hot tub as it always seemed to be in use but the property was clean enough and parking wasn’t bad. I don’t know that we’d stay here again.

It was a wonderful stay! Tito is great, I’m so greaetufl to him for smooth check in, and also small talk and help throughout the stay! I’ve stayed in a couple of properties around SLT and this one is my most favorite so far. I definitely will rebook. I’m so glad I found my home away from home base in SLT!
