“The house a perfect weekend getaway home. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Perfect location to the coal mine museum and mine tour and the town of Jim Thorpe. The only negative thing was the main bedroom mattress was very hard and uncomfortable but overall a great stay. ”

“We stayed with a very large group of 21 adults and kids. The property was spacious and comfortable. We stayed during the winter, but I’m sure in spring and summertime with the lake. This property would be adorable. The only recommendation I would make is to upgrade their beds and mattresses which are kind of old and uncomfortable.”

“We stayed for two nights while attending a local event. Overall, the place was bigger and cozier than it appears—clean, quiet, and charming. The driveway easily fit three cars. The main bathroom is modern, the attic bedroom is well-insulated (great for kids), and the deck offers a nice lake view (though there’s no direct lake access). “This place was amazing! Amazing views, serene property, so quiet. There is a train that is nearby, but they don't blow the horn close and the sounds are beautiful and haunting. Everything in the cabin is very clearly labelled and accessible with so much accommodation in mind, much more than the dozens of short term rentals I've been to over the years. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and sheets. I cannot overstate just how spacious the place was. There were only two of us staying there……
