“Its not often that you find a property that exceeds your expectations, but this certainly did. The lodge was beautiful. Extremely spacious and felt like real luxury from the minute you walk in. It was nicely furnished throughout and a super kitchen with everything you could need. Bravo to whoever was in charge of kitting out and furnishings. “Excellent accommodation. Well appointed and clean. Our only comment would be that it was missing some small but necessary items, such as salt & pepper and some dishwashing up cloths. Small but needed as the little village store had only pepper. Other than that it was a wonderful visit and a great Pub in the square. People were very helpful as well. Thank you ”

“We loved every second of our stay in The Barn. Very central for exploring the region and it was lovely to return to a quiet and comfortable home each night. The shower in the bathroom has great pressure and the amenities were everything we needed. Felt very welcome and safe during our stay. ”

“We've just returned from an amazing stay in Barn End Cottage. On arrival we were welcomed with some delicious home made scones and locally produced cider which got our trip off to the perfect start. The accomodation itself is gorgeous and has a very traditional cottage style, but comes with all modern amenities plus the added bonus of a gaming room which my daughter loved. “The house was cosy .space outside was amazing with walk in woods wildlife pond. Garden was well equipped with plenty of seating. Peaceful location. Host thought of everything to make our stay a place from home . On hand if need be (but not feeling as if being watched ) Dogs had plenty to sniff everytime we walked around the woods and field.Absolutely amazing just what we needed.”

“Had a lovely holiday week. We had the house and flat, ideal for our party of 9 and three dogs. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Kitchens have just been refurbished, main house one wasn't quite finished but not a problem. Love the outside space too, enclosed garden for the children and dogs. Visited both the pubs for drinks and meals too, good food and welcome.”

“Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost.
The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future.”

"Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay "

Comfortable hotel
"Stayed here for 3 nights on this trip. A very comfortable stay with exceptional service. The air conditioner in the room stopped functioning, but the staff quickly took care of the matter as soon as we reported it and compensated us with many free drink vouchers; the manager got soaked in the process of fixing the air conditioning but continued to apologise to us for the inconvenience. The staff are very welcoming, and the environment is very relaxing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Exeter.
Special thanks to the hotel manager and one of the hotel staff members for swiftly taking care of the air conditioner issue; despite ending up being wet in the process you both have handled the issue with grace and kindness."
