“We stayed for one night on our way back from Rushmore on a road trip. Our plan was to stay next to the hot pools in Lava Hot Springs since we got online tickets to use that facility. The Riverside Inn is a historic property conveniently located with a friendly staff. It wears its age well but it is part of the experience. It doesn’t have elevator or luggage cart however the staff offered help with our bags which was very nice. Dave went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in the property.……

“The unit was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was that it was advertised as having a fully equipped kitchenette, however it only had a microwave and a very old one burner plug in hot plate. We were very surprised to learn that it didn’t have a toaster. We were planning on cooking our breakfast in the unit but had to make alternative plans.”
