S&S Retreat at Terry Peak

S&S Retreat is the perfect home to enjoy your Black Hills Vacation!  Located just minutes from the Ski Slopes, close to Deadwood, hiking/biking trails and snowmobile trails make it a great landing spot!  The outdoor spaces are sure to be a favorite with the wrap around deck, private hot tub with spectacular views, BBQ Grill and outdoor seating - Deer and turkey will be a easy to spot.

Inside, you'll find a completely renovated home with a modern flare.  The main living space flows into the opening dining and kitchen areas.  The living room has a fireplace with an electric insert, plenty of seating with a comfy sectional sofa and flat screen TV.  The dining table will seat 6-7 people and 3 bar stools at the counter.  The large kitchen features a coffee bar area and everything you need to prepare meals for your group!

The main floor bedroom has a king size bed, there's also a full bath with shower on the main level, a laundry room and walk-out to the hot tub.  Upstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms and a full bath with tub/shower combo.

Overall, this was a great house in the mountains and near the ski area. It was spacious and clean with a great kitchen and living room. Bedrooms were comfortable and our group enjoyed our stay. A couple of suggestions: there were only two garbage bags for the kitchen and we were staying for 4 nights so we had to purchase garbage bags. This is usually an expected amenity. A couple of the doors are difficult to keep latched without either lifting up on the door or closing it several times. The front door of the house and the main bathroom door had these issues. The hot tub chemicals had not been replaced in a long time and the container was broken, so we were unable to use them for the hot tub. But overall, very nice place and responsive communication. Thank you!

The house was sufficient for our stay. We did have some problems with the heat. It was cold in the house when we arrived so we turned up all baseboard heaters as well as the two wall units. The only baseboard heat that seemed to work was in the upstairs bathroom. The wall units ran but never seemed to heat it up. The last morning we woke up to very cold rooms so I texted and reported it. Also there was a couple coat racks and curtain rods that where pulled out of the wall when we arrived. The house meet our needs but for the amount we paid we where disappointed

Cute cozy cabin the hot tub was perfect temperature! With the canopy would lift the opposite way to see the Mountain View but it was handy the night it was a bit windy!
