“The sugar shack was a great place to stay with my husband and daughter. Being right on the lake was amazing. It was just enough room for the three of us. The grill was in great condition, we grilled out each night of our stay. I think it’s important for anyone staying here knows that getting to the house from the top of the driveway and getting down to the lake could be challenging if you have any mobility issues. The path leading to the house and dock is downhill and somewhat challenging, with……

“The house is very cute little place for a stay on the lake. The bedroom with 2 beds had several dead bugs along the wall, maybe just need cleaned a little better. Overall house was very cute. There are, I believe, 62 steps down to the dock, where the kids lived jumping off and enjoying the water. Thank you for having us. Loved the painting on the dining room wall. Best view around. ”

“Small and perfect size for a couple who wont be really spending a whole lot of time actually at the cabin or who wants some closeness with a partner. It was quiet and so pretty, had what we would of needed if we needed anything. The bed was so freaking comfortable and relaxing and the hot tub was perfect. We seen deer just walking along side the cabin on the right and the covered porch with swing was the icing on the cake for myself. Overall perfect stay”

“We had a great trip. The house was easy to find, while the road out front was busy at times it was still quiet. It was hot and humid, but the breeze on the front porch while swinging and rocking was nice, and locals waving as they drove by. Matt was very quick to respond to all messages. And even though it was hot outside we still enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after hiking! We have a few recommendations for him, but those did not affect our stay. We would stay here again if we are ever in……

“The cabin has been recently updated and was nice inside and out. It was very comfortable inside and had everything we needed. We had a very quiet and relaxing stay. We went hiking every day during our weeklong stay. The back entrance to DeSoto State Park was just 0.5 miles away. We also appreciated the good WiFi service. Walmart and several good restaurant choices were 15 to 20 minutes away. Highly recommended! We would definitely go back!”

“We rented both cabins with our extended family for a long weekend. Both cabins are nicely decorated, had everything we needed and offered a nice separation between families. Cabins were clean, welcoming and so peaceful. They sit on a private drive/road that offers privacy but also close to main road. We all enjoyed our stay and will rent again.”

“I was a bit concerned with the neighborhood. It was a bit rundown and construction was going on, but the house was great.The construction is a good sign that things are improving in that area. It was very welcoming and everything we needed was available. We especially liked the Christmas tree and decorations. Firewood was provided for the firepit, which we enjoyed. We thoroughly loved our little Christmas getaway. ”
