We checked into this hotel pretty late in the evening after an event we were attending. Check in staff were friendly enough, but once we got to our room we had concerns. They were very dated and old, but the concern was the people hanging around the parking lot, right outside our rooms, the other guests hanging around outside their rooms, the homeless population wandering around, and the fact that neither door closed and locked properly, and that both our rooms had the windows unlocked and open. We had two rooms and they were both like this. We did not feel safe, as mentioned the door locks were flimsy and not in good working order. We felt uneasy, and actually left and went to a different hotel for the night.
I understand this is a basic, no frills motel, but we've stayed in that type many times before, and this just felt off, with bad vibes.
