Check-in was fine, but downhill from there. The property is obviously aged, and in need of an update. Very noisy in room. Could hear people in the nearby rooms, the hallway, and terribly loud traffic noise. The reservation said a restaurant was onsite, but it has apparently closed. No food available except from a sushi place that has opened where the hotel restaurant apparently was. No breakfast, and no food - unless you like Japanese food. Very slow service in the restaurant, and the food, in a word, bad. Not connected to the hotel, as the desk clerk cautioned us at check-in. Okay, but it was still bad. The thermostat in the room was so old you could not read the temp, and when the AC was on, it sounded like a truck. At least, then the traffic noise from outside was somewhat muted but the AC noise. Terrible place to stay. I advise staying anywhere else. Very disappointing that a Holiday Inn could not at least meet the average expectations one has when staying in one.
