Seaside Escape - Oregon Beach Vacations

Located in the Nelscott district of Lincoln City, Seaside Escape is the perfect oceanfront cottage for any Pacific coast getaway. Featuring two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, this vacation home can accommodate up to four guests, making it perfect for a small family getaway. One of the best features of this classic cottage is it's gigantic living room viewing window which offers panoramic ocean views: travelers can watch boats, kites and storms all from the comfort of the cozy living room. In addition to the giant viewing window, Seaside Escape features a fully stocked kitchen, a beautiful gas fireplace, and a flat screen TV with a DVD player and streaming for guest enjoyment. The home has two queen beds for sleeping accommodations and a shower. This Lincoln City vacation rental also has a washer and dryer for guests on an extended vacation, so guests can feel free to pack clothes for a week but stay for a month! Outside, guests can find beach access one house south of Seaside Escape. Miles of coastline, soft sands and the gentle ebb and flow of the ocean await all visitors. In addition to the beach, guests visiting this home will find themselves within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in the Nelscott District off of Highway 101. You can get American food at Burger 101, or Mexican food at La Roca's. For those seeking a fancier fare, the Inn at Spanish Head is located less than a mile away on the cliff side overlooking the Nelscott district, and features savory dishes such as Tarragon Salmon that are coupled with gorgeous Pacific coast views. Everything was great except the washing machine and being cold. It was molded over. And gross. There was hair in it and not something I would use regularly let alone a guest who paid . It should be replaced.

Place needs a lot of TLC: seriously upgraded beds, updated shower, and since your pay for the view, being able to see out of the window should be top repair priority. The "panoramic" view is a fail.

great location subpar dwelling and amenities

To whom it may concern: As a frequent user of VRBO vacation rentals I was surprised to, for the first time, be disappointed in our accommodations. The overall condition of this rental is rundown - parts of windows are rotting away, sliding doors are difficult to open and close, the outdoor furniture is broken and rusted so badly it is dangerous. The grill is rusted to a degree where we will not use it. My wife opened a cabinet and it just fell off and nearly hit her. We cannot get any TV other than some local channels. There are no directions explaining which remotes and in which order we are supposed to use to access streaming programming. When we arrived the musty odor was the first thing we noticed - since we opened some windows it has gotten better. We didn't take showers for 4 days because the "hot" water was lukewarm at best. When we contacted Oregon Beach Vacations, the property management company, they told us on two consecutive days that someone would come and address some of our concerns - they never showed up and after the second day they never communicated with us. We consider this to be unprofessional. The location is very nice - right on the beach and centrally located in this part of the Oregon coast. We are just disappointed in some of the amenities that are important to us that seem to be either missing or subpar.

Great location….but

The location is absolutely great. Wide uninterrupted ocean view. Good neighborhood. ….but very small and old house. Very little or no heating. It is not a two full bath house. One bathroom is extremely small with a shower that is difficult to access and another small bathroom with out of service makeshift bathtub! The location is BEAUTIFUL but it was not a comfortable stay!!

Untapped Potential

Fridge smelled like fish. The window blind is broken and stuck in the down position so you can't open it to enjoy the awesome view. Bed sheets were fine but the comforters looked like they came from the Goodwill or were purchased when the house was built. The bed pillows were very small and flat. Pictures on the site do not match what the rooms look like. There is only one shower/tub, the blue tub in the picture does not work and they list it as if it does. The house is a 1.5 bath. Not 2. Floors did not feel clean under bare feet, I wore sandals the whole time indoors. The place could use a few area rugs, the entire place is linoleum, bare floors. The throw pillows on the couches and the beds are visibly soiled and need to just be tossed out. Everything in the home is very old and needs some updating. It would be so easy to update a few things and it would be a 1000x's better. #1 Get rid of all the fake flower arrangements. #2 New bedding, pillows/throw pillows would make a world of a difference. #3 Update your ad so it matches what you are providing. The view and the fact that you are right on the beach is awesome.. but the place.. needs a little TLC. Also the app portal and the 3 different companies make things very confusing. We booked through Vrbo. Then we got an email from Oregon Beach Vacations, and then there was portal access through Advanced Lodging? I just want to check-in and access my info with ease... it was not easy.

Fun Time

Wonderful. The only issue is that it advertises 2 baths and they have only 1 1/2 since the sunken tub is unusable and there is a sign that says that and no grab bars in either bath. Please put in a shower and replace the tub. Beautiful view.

horrible appliances and other itmes

The microwave burned all the food into charcoal, The kitchen stove does not work proplery at all the stove temp is way off and burns all your food. The bedding is torn apart, multiple blankets would have there filling get all over the house. The pics of the house do not truly show how small this property is. The one nice thing about the place was the big window where you could see the ocean. But the constant cost of eating out becuase the appliances dont work really drove the cost up and i would not recomend getting this property for a rental unless all the items are fixed. There is also a incredibly long wait time for hot water in the kitchen sink and the bathroom with the tub in it

Fun at the beach

We had a great time. The view is what first gets you as this house is right on the beach with nothing between you and the ocean. Absolutely fantastic! It was built in 1927 though and the first thing we noticed walking in was the musty, old smell. We opened windows and bought a few candles and can't say it detracted from our trip. It was close to shopping and places to explore, which we did, but mostly we just relaxed, walked on beach and enjoyed the amazing sunsets. We plan to come back in the winter to see what the ocean is like at that time of year. Thanks for an amazing time!

This house was nice and is small. It's definitely an older home. But the view is amazing. It's was clean an comfy. The only issue we had was the base board heating was not the best. First night was pretty chilly. Overall my husband an I would definitely like to stay in this house again. Was very easy to find, with parking for one car. Unless you were able to get one of the parking spot in front of the house if a second person had a car. Just a small cute little beach house. You will not be disappointed with the views.

Great little place! Better than i imagined. Front row seat to the tides!

This is an awesome little house right on the beach with incredible views of the ocean. Tucked between the Sandcastle hotel and another beach house...we never noticed. Being a late February stay for us, arrived Friday night with wind and rain, Saturday morning was mostly clear skies and sunny! So relaxing to sit out in the yard along the rail, watching and listening to the crashing waves! Hypnotic! 4 days of sun, 3 with clouds...better than we expected for February. Great views inside and out. Selling point for me was the super large window in the living room....we were not disappointed. When it gets too cold to sit outside, you have the living room with pretty much the same views from the warm insides of the living rm. We will definitely be coming back to Seaside Escape! We cooked meals at the house vs eating out, kitchen is stocked with pretty much any type of dish/pan /bowls etc. The local fresh fish, smoked salmon, prawns were incredible..picked up from Barnicle Bill's right down the road . We didnt visit much of Lincoln City, although this place is right in the center. But we had the most relaxing time in this perfectly positioned little 2 bedroom getaway. It was a great stay!

Our only issue was with checking in. The door code we were given did not work. I called the office and was given the code for the key box, no questions asked. Literally no questions asked. I gave the address and was given the code. Maybe some better security measures could be put in place.

Great time!

The property is great! The living room has a huge picture window and plenty of comfortable seating to sit and watch the ocean! Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, except for things like coffee filters, baggies, etc. Beds are ok, I would suggest bringing your own pillows though. All in all a very comfortable rental!

Wonderful view of the ocean

We really enjoyed the home and the view of the ocean. Our only issue was trying to get into the home. The home access code would not work, so we had to call to find out how to get in. They were able to give us the code for the key lock box. Once in and settled the Wifi network information that we were given was incorrect. Fortunately the correct information was on the Wifi box. The house was comfy for the two of us. The sunken tub in the master bath was interesting. The large windows in that bathroom let a lot of light in from the motel parking lot next door. But the view from the little patio or the living room made up for it.

Location and Convenience

The location of this property is what sold me. It is right next to an access point which makes it very simple to walk to the property for bathroom breaks and snacks. It sits next to a hotel that acts as a wind barrier making the sitting area perfect. I agree with previous posts that the fencing should be adjusted as it blocks the view of the beach. However, the backyard was perfect for my boys (ages 6 and 4) to play around. The beds slept comfortably. Some of the items in the house are outdated and cause the space to feel cluttered. Simplicity would go a long way. There were also a few locked cupboards leaving no space to put groceries away. Again, leading to tight quarters. In comparison to other VRBO’s, there were Limited amenities such as shampoo, soap, etc. There was only 1 roll of paper towels, no laundry detergent, and we were given hotel sample sized shampoo bottles. I’m not sure if this Is related to new practices due to Covid. The departure requirements were less than other Rentals and required only to take out the garbage and start the dishwasher. There did seem to be more miscellaneous fees than other VRBOs. Overall, it was a nice space. The backyard and location were the selling points here.

Great view, quaint house

The view of the ocean from the huge front window is captivating. This small house on the edge of the sea shore is just a few footsteps from direct beach access, has new appliances, and rustic lived-in charm. A few improvements would be helpful, improved mattresses, more hooks for towels, and space for pantry items. This should not deter a traveling couple from snapping up this quiet house with an expansive ocean view. We will be back.

The only problem was that the door code that we were given did not work so we had to call in and because of a busy time we were on hold for 30 minutes before we could talk to anyone and get the real code.
