“The Ashley is very charming. We had a clean, lovely room with access to the porch, where we would drink our morning coffee. The breakfast sandwiches and coffee were great too. When checking in, there was a bit of a snafu with our reservation but the woman on the phone who helped me was very kind and accommodating. She immediately took care of the problem. I would definitely stay there again. ”

“Excellent location! Charming old Charleston house converted to boutique hotel and it was perfect! The only complaint was hearing other guests but no one was up late or too loud. The city was also surprisingly peaceful and quiet at night. I was there for business but would stay here on a romantic or friends weekend for sure! ”

“This place is truly a gem both in terms of accommodations as well as hosts. Zack and Rob were so welcoming and just plain friendly we could have talked for hours. The home is one that my wife and I will be frequenting often. She is from Charleston and to find this beautiful quiet home that is so convenient to downtown is a treasure. “ The GM & owner are very nice. Our room was missing some of the needed kitchen items but they were very quick to replace the things that were not there. We were a bit disappointed when our room was not cleaned the one time they said they would clean it during our week stay. They should at least sweep/vacuum the floors, empty garbage twice during a week stay and replenish toilet paper. All in all, we do recommend staying here. It is a newer place and felt safe staying here.”

“Such a cool experience to stay on a yacht! Captain Dave was very responsive. The coffee pot was unusable so he promptly went out and bought a brand new which was most appreciated. I was surprised that you couldn't feel the movement (rocking) of the yacht at all. I would highly recommend staying on Southern Comfort!”
