Plus points:
1) The blackout curtains in my room were fantastic - extremely effective and definitely helped me get a good night's sleep.
2) Unfortunately, I checked in on the day of the powercut, but the staff kept guests well informed and even allowed guests to charge their electronic devices in the lobby area which had emergency power running to it. That was very kind of them.
3) The hotel is located around many shops and restaurants, plus the nearest metro station is a 5 minute walk away - very convenient. El Corte Ingles is also only a 10 minute walk away which was great.
Minus points:
1) Biggest let-down was my room's cleanliness - there was leftover hair and dust from the previous guest when I first entered.
2) The hot and cold water in my bathroom sink had the wrong colour tap.
3) I ordered room service and was told that my food would arrive within 30 minutes, but it arrived after an hour. The burger was cold, the potato wedges were dry and cold and there was a hair in my fruit salad.
4) The room's decor is quite outdated and some of the furnishings (e.g. carpet, bed frame, surfaces) could use some modernising in line with the hotel's art deco theme.
