“A few hours after checking into the VRBO on Friday, there was a mechanical issue in the house related to the extreme cold weather which could have ruined our entire weekend; however, the property owner promptly got someone on sight first thing Saturday morning, determined the issue couldn't be fixed immediately, found a property within 1 mile where we could stay for no additional fee, AND gave us a refund. We loved it's location to both downtown Mineral Point and to towns nearby to visit House on the Rock and visit Governor Dodge State park for some winter hiking. Overall it was a lovely experience. “We spent a weekend at the Limestone for a Ladies Weekend. The house was beautiful, even better in person than the listing. The house fit the 11 of us comfortably and was very well equipped. Located very close to town. We enjoyed all the shops, Cafe 43, Crazy Frank’s, Brewery Pottery plus a hike around Pendarvis! Definitely recommend!! Please note that there are many stairs in the house which may be a consideration for some but not an issue for us (except after some wine). ”
