Originally built in the eighteenth century as a corn mill, it's had a varied history since including being as a workshop for the production of school writing slates. Indeed, the shoreline is still mostly made up of offcuts of these slates. Industry, and the ferry to the mainland, has long since come to an end at Pwllfanogl, leaving it as a peaceful and hidden creek where the world seems to have stood still and only a handful of waterside cottages remain.
lnside, the cottage combines rustic character with modern comforts. You'll find cosy living spaces as well as huge vaulted ceiling, a well-equipped kitchen and six inviting bedrooms – all designed to help you relax and feel at home. There's even a galleried library and table tennis area! Step outside to enjoy your morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the water, stroll along the coastal path, or watch the tide drift in from the Menai Strait just steps away.
With Plas Newydd, Llanfair PG, the Marquis of Anglesey column and the iconic Britannia Bridge all within walking distance, Felin Hen offers the perfect base for exploring the history, culture, and natural beauty of Anglesey.
Whether you're painting by the water, reading by the fire, or simply soaking in the serene surroundings, Felin Hen is more than a place to stay — it's a place to connect, reflect, and be inspired.
