“We stayed here as a family of 19 for 2 nights over New Year ranging from age 5-70. It was good as we all had our own individual cottages with kitchens, living rooms and bathroom which gave us our own space but the communal area is the Hall was being enough when we wanted to be together. Only issue was the gas heaters and log burners not working properly in a couple of cottages but electric heaters were available and there is central heating in two of the cottages. “We had a lovely time in this beautiful house - there was plenty of living space for the whole group to spread out and we loved having a big group dinner in the grand dining room. The house is old and some niggles are to be expected (minor cobwebs, loose doorknobs, a couple of chipped mugs) and they definitely didn't take away from our love for the place (and shouldn't deter anyone else!).”

“We had a fabulous time here. The property is excellent, check in a breeze, location idyllic and hosts fantastic.We really had a great relaxing time. The home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We used the slow cooker which I wasn't expecting them to have. A great stock of board games too. It is truly a home away from home. Hot tub was brilliant, my daughter loved it. We will definitely be back but for longer. ”

“Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely traditional cottage. The village is lovely, you can buy your essentials from the village shop (Post Office). The cottage is well situated within the village and there are lovely walks nearby. Although the weather was brilliant, the nights were getting chilly so we welcomed the log burner which kept us nice and cosy. The host was on hand with information about the area and advised us about the best places to visit in this beautiful part of the country.……

“Fantastic location next to the canal enjoyed watching boats going past. Nice walks around and other places nearby. Only thing wrong with the discrimination of the property is it says it has a hot tub but it has a bath inside the house and no hot tub outside. We still enjoyed our visit ”
