Blue Rose Cabins - Sweet Dreams Cabin

A quaint couples cabin nestled in the woods. Relax in the private hot tub and enjoy the view and wildlife! Fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, gas grill, and a firepit. Located in the heart of Hocking Hills!
We have 16 cabins on a total of 30 acres. We have a wide range of cabins from couples cabins up to cabins that sleep 10 guest. All of our cabins have hot tubs. Located in the heart of Hocking Hills! So many fun activites in the Hocking Hills region including rock climbing and rapelling, hiking, horseback riding, exploring Old Man's Cave, riding ATV's, petting zoos, etc. the list goes on and on. So many restaurants/bars and antique shops to choose from.

Nice cabin

It was a nice place to stay after a long day of hiking. We just needed a place to sleep and a hot tub. The driveway was rough and the shower didnt get very warm. Other than that it was fine. We had a lovely time exploring Hockin Hills for our 8th anniversary ♡

Cabin in the Woods

The road to get to the cabin was filled with HUGE potholes that you can not avoid! I seriously thought we were going to damage our car getting to the cabin. We took a video of it because it was so crazy. Its also a single lane road so we had a couple of challenging encounters with other vehicles and 2 way traffic. When you turn off Phelps to enter Blue Rose property, there is a very sketchy property on the corner that looks like a page out of an I Spy book. The cabin itself was OK; privacy, fire pit, nice hot tub that was easy to use. It's not far from the hikes we were doing. However...the shower is a square, so it's hard wash your legs in it. Maybe a movable shower head would help? The bed is small and in need of new pillows and mattress! The pillows are flat and lumpy and you can feel the springs in the mattress. Cleanliness; it's a cabin in the woods so not super high expectations here but I did find a dog ball under the bed.

Hocking hills 2024

Booking process was easy as well as check in process. Cleanliness of the property was pretty good. Small problem was the cookware was super rusty and not clean at all. Communication with property manager was awesome! We needed new cookware and we got brand new set. Hot tub was amazing and wish the whole place was a little bit bigger. Other than that our stay was great with amazing views 😊

It was cozy and clean. The microwave was kinda beat up but it worked. There were cobwebs in corners and on the fan but other than that it felt clean. It was a cute cozy cabin. Bring extra blankets if you get cold.

The posting indicates 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and pictures suggest the same. It is actually a 1 room cabin with the bathroom in a closet sized room and the glass front shower in the main room which allows no privacy. The cabin was very eirty

The floor was very dirty, I had to sweep and my goodness the amount of dirt was disgusting. Nothing was comfortable including bed, couch, and chairs. Very disappointed!

Best getaway location

Sweet Dreams cabin was perfect for my boyfriend and I’s early 2 year anniversary. The hot tub and the grille were the best features. Very cozy, secluded, and comfortable. The bed was kind of small and would recommend to bring extra pillows, but very comfy! We also brought an extra blanket and would recommend that to others that are staying so you can use it throughout the stay. When the owner says you need a 4x4 car you do! The drive up was a bit rocky, but once you’re parked at the cabin it’s all perfect! Two nights wasn’t enough, we will definitely be returning. :)

Not bad but not great

We stay in different cabins in Hocking Hills every few months. We wanted something a little off the beaten path and this was definitely it. Everything was great but I would recommend a few things to the owners. The cabin was not clean. Under the bed looked as though it hadn’t been swept in months. There were no rugs so the floors were filthy. There were also spider webs and cobwebs everywhere. The patio off the back was also not the cleanest. The microwave had a slimy substance in it. We spent 45 minutes sweeping and cleaning when we arrived. The drive way DEFINITELY required a truck which we had so no big deal. Other than that it was a very nice weekend. Cabin was cute and in a nice location.

The only thing to bring to your attention is we only had hot water for the shower for about 5 minutes. Not complaining,just letting you know because the hot water source may have a problem. We love the location

Nice place

We rented the sweet dreams cabin.... we reserved it for our anniversary well in advance.. i will admit we were apprehensive after finding some online reviews later after we had reserved the cabin. We had prepared ourselves that we may have to turn around and go back home... WE WERE VERY PLEASENTLY SURPRISED IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! The sweet dreams cabin was clean,, private,, smelled good, crisp clean sheets,, hot tub was wonderful.. kitchen had basic kitchen dishes, silverware knives, lighter,, coffee pot, microwave, dish liquid, salt and pepper. Flat screen TV with DVD player and a few movies. Hair dryer, gas grill. Road to cabins have some rough areas.. lower setting car would have a hard time getting to cabins.. The weather was perfect for us.. but I could see having trouble being able to get to cabins if rainy season or snowing.. 4x4 would be important. Couple suggestions: bring beach towel for hot tub, a throw blanket would have been nice when snuggling on love seat. We had cell coverage and was able to use our phones. Bare bones and dissapointing

I would give the place 3/5 stars. It was pretty bare bones except for the hot tub on the small deck. We had trouble with the heater the first night and a call got someone to bring in a space heater--that also needed to be jiggled from time to time to keep it going. I don't mean to be picky we were not brought clean towels/washcloths during our 3 day stay, the mattress was broken down, as was the loveseat, and the trash was not picked up. There were enough odds and ends of kitchen utensils to make some simple meals. We really enjoyed the hot tub after hiking. It was conveniently located but the property's road back to the cabin was barely passable unless we used all wheel drive. If we didn't have it I'm not sure we could have gotten up the rutted trail to the cabin on the first day when it was raining. There is no TV and no internet unless your phone can pick up a signal which our Verizon phones did do. Overall, it worked out for us but I think the attention to detail could have been drastically improved. There are MANY different cabins and accomodations in the area and if we return in the future we will try something different.

Cozy not Cramped

The Sweet Dreams cabin was very cozy, but not cramped. The cabin feels very secluded due to all of the trees. It was peaceful and beautiful place to stay, the cabin was clean, the hot tub was so relaxing, and we spent hours each evening by the fire pit. I would stay here again! The only complaints I have are 1) we ran out of propane the first night so we were limited to using the oven on day 2, but we also chose not to call to report and just roll with it, 2) one of the outside plastic chairs were cracked and needs to be replaced, but I brought camping chairs with me so we were good, & 3) the bed was extremely uncomfortable as you could feel a bar in the middle of your back. I 100% think the mattress should be replaced; when you elect to sleep on the floor, you probably need a new mattress. Even with these issues, I would still stay again (just maybe with an air mattress).
