Ironically the hotel you pick your keys up from is lovely and the staff efficient and attentitive. The headlines are that this is cheap accommodation, and for the money it is good enough with a decent amount of space, good beds and was squeaky clean on arrival.
The details - The carpark you arrive in looks like a bombed out town in the middle east. Shipping containers dotted around, cracked concrete that slopes off into a void between the buildings and car park. An inconvenient walk around the building follows. A bent front door that doesn’t open or close very well greets you, followed by your flimsy apartment door secured with a single lock in the middle. The apartment was clean enough and looked quite new. But, everything was very cheap and cheerful. Cheap furniture, no bedside lamps, washing machine cupboard door hanging off, loose bathroom tap and a broken tv. The tea cups are comically big, and cooking equipment clean, but lacking. The couch was hard and small. One of the bedroom doors didn't close and the fridge was smelly because it was turned off.
For the money is was ok, but I’d rather spend more to get more.
