This is not a traditional hotel; it's considered service studio "apartments." I would characterize the room as sort of like a Comfort Inn, but with kitchenette.
It's about a 10-minute walk to the Bayswater underground station, and 15 minutes to Paddington station. There are several grocery options within walking distance, and a number of restaurants and cafes.
In my particular room, the available seating was two plastic chairs at the little dining table, or the bed. According to photos I saw, some of the rooms are larger and have a small sofa.
The room was decent, with a nice kitchenette, but the dishwasher had a musty smell because they apparently leave it fully closed all the time. I discovered that it *needs* to be fully closed in order to keep the under-counter refrigerator door closed. There's also a washing machine. They provide dishwasher detergent packets but none for the washer.
The bathroom was very nicely designed, but there was mold in spots where the wall tile meets the floor tile.
Housekeeping does not provide service every day except to empty trash; they didn't empty mine every day.
I like a firm bed, but this one was so hard it was like sleeping on the box springs; they should put some sort of gel cushion on it.
I couldn't use the safe; some previous guest had closed it without clearing their combination.
London is an expensive place, so I'd stay here again because of the price, but don't expect a 4- or 5-star hotel.
