We paid a premium price for a room downstairs. Walls are paper thin. Not only could we hear EVERY step taken by the guests above us, we could hear normal conversations from the rooms on either side of us...through the walls. We used a white noise machine hoping it would block the noise, but we could still hear the neighbor snoring as if they were in the room with us (louder than our white noise machine). Very disappointed.

After reading so many great reviews, we were disappointed with our stay here. The entry doorknob was bent, the stopper behind the door was caved through the wall, the small lamps did not provide enough light when the curtains were closed and the shower was awful. Poor water pressure, more water was running from the faucet than was coming out of the shower head and we also got a complimentary bath with our showers because the drain was VERY slow. The bed was very hard and the pillows flat and uncomfortable. The room was however very clean, as were the grounds. It is in an excellent location and it was quiet, except the people above us who stomped back and forth across their room for hours.

Large rooms. Hard surface floors which I prefer. Door locks were a little tricky. Parking got very full on Friday night, I am not sure how closely they monitor to ensure only hotel guests are parking. Very close to the center of town and to beach access. I would stay here again when in Long Beach.

Our stay was beautiful. The room etc was exactly what we wanted. Perfect for our anniversary staycation. Our only critique is to check out the channels on the tv. Over half of our tv channels didn’t work. We watched tv via our phones during our stay. Otherwise an absolutely perfect stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn at the Sea. Our room was clean and spacious, and the location is excellent! Within a few blocks of many great shops and restaurants. And we were able to bring our dog, which was great! The staff was really nice and professional, and the take and go breakfast was great…lots of options to choose from. We’ll definitely be back!
